Features

  • Beep Alarm, Fault Prompt: Our nano aquarium heater has safety features such as low water level shutdown and overheat protection. When the temp control system detects a malfunction in the equipment, it will give an error code alarm and stop heating to prevent any potential damage or injury. Note: Although the system will automatically turn off the power when a malfunction occurs, residual heat in the heating rod may melt the shell. Please handle it as soon as possible
  • Black Look & Mini Size to Hide Easily: The 20-watt Betta heater with a 4" long x 1" height heating element design takes up very little space, which could effortlessly fit into about 1-5 gallon small aquariums and is also suited for shallow water turtle tanks
  • Adjustable Temperature Control: hygger mini submersible heater includes an external thermostatic temperature controller, you can easily set the temperature by cycling between 59 and 93 degrees, and the digital display makes for intuitive viewing of real-time water temperature. Once the heater is on, an indicator light will tell you whether it is in heating mode or on standby
  • Intelligent Automated Heating: This small fish tank heater effectively maintains the water at a steady temperature, when it reaches below your set temp, it kicks on and then turns off when it reaches the desired temp. Also, with the memory function, you don't have to reset the temperature if you get power outages
  • Safety Instruction: Please keep the heating rod fully submerged, and use the two suction cups to make it easier installed vertically or horizontally on the tank wall. Make sure to unplug before water change or cleaning cool down the fish heater for 15 minutes

  • Simple and effective
Size: 20 Watt
Effective heater for my 5 gallon betta aquarium that was super easy to get set up. I appreciate that it’s small, adheres to the tank wall well, and covered in plastic so I don’t have to worry about my fish getting stuck behind it. I don’t have a separate thermometer for the tank so I can’t vouch for how consistent it keeps the tank water, but my betta seems happy and healthy. This heater was especially helpful when I was doing ich treatment for my fish and needed higher temps. Very easy to adjust as you just click the set button through different temps until you find the temperature you want it to maintain. It would be nicer to have up and down arrows for this adjustment, but I don’t mind. I will update if I have any issues with it working in the future. ... show more

  • Number 1 nano heater
Size: 20 Watt
This is the best nano heater on the face of the planet. Suction cups hold the heater in place. Great quality and it perfect for my 2.5 gallon aquarium for betta. Has a digital thermostat and temperature read out of your current water temperature. Very accurate. Not need for internal thermometer or a external thermometer. Definitely worth the money to keep your betta healthy and alive. I have several hygger heater one for my 45 gallon tank and one for my 75 gallon monster tank. They have never broken. Just make sure when you put the heater in the tank for the first time or do any water changes to unplug it and wait 30 min before plugging it back in because the heater need to acclimate to the current water temperature before you plug it in. One advice most people getting into the aquarium trade for the first time make this mistake and plug the heater in right away and break the heater or shatter the glass tube. Also when setting your desired temperature you can only raise the heater by 2 degrees every hour till you reach the desired temperature because anything more than that will kill all your fish. Remember you need to acclimate your fish to the new temperature also or they will go into shock and die. So if your water temperature is 70 and you want 78 degrees you can only raise the temp 2 degrees every hour till your target temp is achieved. ... show more

  • Optimal Bang For Your Buck
Size: 50 Watt
I’ve never left an Amazon review before, but for this product, I will. At this price point, this heater is leaps and bounds above any other heater I’ve seen available at a pet store. It’s cheaper than similar heaters I’ve purchased from Petco/PetSmart, but feels like a luxury upgrade. It’s just so well designed and functional. The built-in thermometer is awesome, its adjustability and range is awesome, its alarm for when it’s not submerged is awesome - I have nothing but good things to say. It has been efficient and reliable and great for keeping the water warm for my pea puffers. Highly recommend. ... show more

  • Finally a small, accurate heater that WORKS!
Size: 20 Watt
I’ve been looking for a tiny heater for my 5-gallon Betta tank for a while now, and most of them are just way too big or look ugly in the tank. This Hygger one is perfect. It’s super small (about the size of a couple of fingers) so it’s easy to hide behind a plant or some driftwood. The best part is the external controller. You don’t have to stick your hand in the water to change the temp, which is a huge plus. I checked it against my separate thermometer and it stays right on the money—it hasn’t fluctuated at all, even when my room gets cold at night. It feels really solid too, not like some of those cheap plastic ones. If you have a nano tank or a small bowl, this is definitely the one to get. My Betta is way more active now that his water is actually a consistent temp. Definitely worth it! ... show more

  • So far, so good
Size: 50 Watt
I won't give it 5 stars until I've used it for a while. I'm actually using the 50 watt in my 20 gallon tank, because I've read so many stories of people nuking their fish. I put it on one end, which isn't ideal, but the other 3 sides are viewing sides. So one side of my tank is a few degrees below the temperature I set the heater to, (I set it to 78 and the actual water temp is 74) and the other side is a couple degrees cooler than that. (I have a thermometer at each end.) But honestly this heater so far seems like it might be up to the task of heating a 20 gallon a few degrees in this fashion. When I put my hand in and feel it while it's heating, it doesn't feel overly warm at all. Very gentle heating. Will update later. EDIT: Got a second one in case of failure, put them both on one end and set them both to 75, tank sits around 74 on that end and 72 on the other. Room temp is usually 70 or less. No issues so far. I saw a pygmy cory sleeping on top of one of the heaters. EDIT 2: okay I got another 50watt for my new 10 gallon tank, so now I have 3 of these things. Will update later if they fail, or in a few years if they last and I like them. ... show more

  • Good little heater
Size: 20 Watt
I've had it going for a couple of weeks now and it's holding my tank water steady in a room that is not heated. I really like the auto-off function when I'm doing water changes and it's exposed to air. It warns me with beeps and then turns off so it doesn't ramp up and blow a fuse.

  • Keeps the water flowing
Size: 20 Watt
I have an unusual use for this heater. I have an outdoor fountain for birds (and squirrels) to drink from. I wanted to prevent freezing in the winter so I've added this heater. It has done an excellent job in preventing heating. I keep it on the lowest temperature setting and it kept the water flowing when the temperature was down to 12 F one night. My only negative is that it constantly beeps when it is below the temperature setpoint. Good for fishtanks, not so good for outdoor fountains in cold climates. I wish the beeper could be disabled, but I know my use is not the normal one. The compact size is excellent for fitting within the fountain. I keep the controller in a waterproof box. ... show more

  • Saved my fish from cold water
Size: 50 Watt
Im very happy with my 10 gallon aquarium's temperature now, and so is my betta. It works consistently and is accurate when reading the temp of the water. Was easy to set up and is still stuck to the aquarium with the suction cups that were included. Definitely worth the purchase for me.
