Super easy to use, got a year out of it before the temp sensor started acting up and the tank was reading way hotter than it actually was but controller did its job by shutting the power off to it and sounding the little alarm. For the price point I won’t complain with getting a year worth of use out of it.

I purchased this heater for a new tank we called “the works” canister filter, custom acrylic tank, programable led lighting (also from hygger) tho whole nine yards and its led controller looked to be the Cadillac of heaters! And it is! However after about two months of use it would not work and the alarm for out of water would not turn off. We were extremely disappointed as it went with our tank perfectly. We decided to reach out to hygger as their other products have been amazing. We were not disapointed, they worked with us responding rapidly and provided a new filter at no charge amazing customer support from an over seas niche company. I would not hesitate to purchase any hygger item especially now having dealt with their outstanding customer service

Bought this in July 2023. Failed in January 2024. At first, I was very pleased with this 1000-watt heater. Performed as advertised. I bought it to use in a 105-gallon saltwater mixing tank. Heated the water quickly and maintained the temperature very well. Then about 2 weeks ago, I noticed my water getting too warm, and occasionally, the high temp alarm sounding. Now the heater continuously shows "LL", and the heater never shuts off. I thought I was so impressed with this heater that I bought a second one in October 2023 for my hospital tank. I will certainly be keeping very close tabs on this one so as not to cook any expensive fish. I will write a new review on the second heater accordingly. So far so good on the second heater. I must say that Hygger reached out to me and offered me a replacement or full refund. As such, I will upgrade my review to four stars for customer service alone. Hopefully this was an anomaly and my second heater will continue working as advertised.

Got this to replace a 200 watt aqueon heater in my 55 gallon aquarium. After installing it took around 3 hours to get the water up to 76 degrees. The control unit is easy to read and intuitive. It kicks on around half a degree below the set temp. I have another thermometer on the opposite side of the tank and they tend to be roughly .40 degrees off from eachother which could be because i have the heater on the left side of the tank. Absolutely love it and will be using this brand and model for all my future tanks!

6 months-in and it's still working great. I'm tired of losing fish to faulty heaters that fail 'on'. Hopefully, this one lasts and will fail 'off' like it's supposed to (if needed). Digital read out and ease of setting the temp is a game changer. I've been keeping fish nearly 50 years and I Highly recommend this heater. So much so that I bought 3 more.

At first I did not know what exactly was I ordering super easy to install The protective case around the heating element is super durable on top of that you get a digital reading which I think gives the value for your money it's actually warming up my tilapia pond in this cold winter

It works like any aquarium heater but is way more powerful as it is a 1kW heater (for an outdoor pond). What I like is the readout that says the temperature, easy 1 button setup, readout shows wattage, auto-shutoff if taken out of the water, and the heater adjusts output based on surrounding temp. Cons - the casing for readout is flimsy, not sure how long it will last before I start getting error readings and have a useless heater, wish it was bigger (had more surface area). UPDATE: after a few months of use I have encountered some issues. The casing enwraps the tubes too much so that heats build up quickly inside and the device reached set temp quickly. It then shuts off. Also as the device gets close to the desired temp it reduces the wattage output. All this would be great in an enclosed, housed inside, aquarium but does not bode well for a pond that has a large surface area. They need to keep the thermostat away from the heating tubes so the device has a better idea of the surrounding water temp. There is another hygger that has a more open casing and that one allows for more water to heating tube exposure. The temp controller had to be placed in another casing to prevent moisture/water damage.
