Packaging from Amazon was terrible. The saw was left to bounce around in a much larger box with no packaging to keep it stable. Was very worried the bar was bent but seems to be okay. Other than that, saw runs great.

I am normally a Stihl person and have used that brand of tool for years, but based on recent periodical reviews I decided to try the Husqvarna brand. The item came in a sealed, brand new box and appeared in good condition. I followed the relevant instructions to start it (which is a 5 step process) and it would not start. After trying for a long time, I eventually got it to start but it would not keep running in idle and quickly shut down. It would only keep running under throttle and after cutting a 3" limb, the unit shut down again. I decided to take it to a local repair technician who stated that this was a USED unit! He showed me where the throttle control screw was completely worn out and the engine cylinder was damaged. This item was sold to me as NEW, but clearly was not. I give it a one star rating, not because it is a crappy product (which Husqvarna is not) but because I was mislead and was sold a chainsaw which clearly was used and returned to the seller and repackaged. ... show more

Nice saw at a decent price. Came in brand new perfect packaging. Came promptly. I own other more powerful saws but wanted something smaller for basic jobs around the yard. I liked everything about the saw except for one thing. The carburetor needed adjustment particularly on the L screw, however, the normal splined tool that is used to adjust these screws did not fit the screws on this Husqvarna 435! This was a huge pita and I could not locate the correct size anywhere. In fact the internet is void of information on this issue. I like the saw and do recommend it but if you're clever you'll figure out a solution to this issue. ... show more
