A Cut Above
Size: 16 inch - 435 Chainsaw
This saw was purchased to replace an earlier version I’ve used for many years. Time worn. The 435 is s definite upgrade. Easier to fill, start and maintain. Plus, it cuts like the proverbial hot knife. For a homeowner level device it will certainly fill the bill. Sturdy, not too heavy for extended use and competitively priced. My only complaint is the chain bar slide on plastic cover. Given the overall build quality of the saw the bar cover seems a bit flimsy. And, it looks like it was made from recycled plastic water bottles. But, I just transferred the cover from the old saw. Much sturdier and, if it matters, a lot less cheap looking. Overall, highly recommended. ... show more

The Husky 435 is a great saw
Size: 16 inch - 435 Chainsaw
Great Saw for a great deal. Got it on sale and saved good hard earned money. This is my 2nd Husky saw and happy to have it. Pairs up with my 450 Rancher nicely. If you do alot of cutting, these 2 are the only pair you need. These saws are durable and fit well in your hands. The cutting performance is top shelf...You could cut up to 24" hard wood logs but you will make is scream. Use the saw for the size wood intended, you wont use a 12" bar to cut a 30" oak. Its not rocket science. ... show more

It works mostly as expected.
Size: 16 inch - 435 Chainsaw
Unit needed an idle adjustment out of the box. It wouldn't stay running no matter how long I allowed it to warm up. Adjusted the idle and the problem was fixed. It certainly isn't a "heavy duty" chainsaw by any means. However, it works as a light to medium duty around the house for minor work saw. It is what I expected but doesn't exceed expectations in any way. ... show more

Scammed!
Size: 16 inch - 435 Chainsaw
I am normally a Stihl person and have used that brand of tool for years, but based on recent periodical reviews I decided to try the Husqvarna brand. The item came in a sealed, brand new box and appeared in good condition. I followed the relevant instructions to start it (which is a 5 step process) and it would not start. After trying for a long time, I eventually got it to start but it would not keep running in idle and quickly shut down. It would only keep running under throttle and after cutting a 3" limb, the unit shut down again. I decided to take it to a local repair technician who stated that this was a USED unit! He showed me where the throttle control screw was completely worn out and the engine cylinder was damaged. This item was sold to me as NEW, but clearly was not. I give it a one star rating, not because it is a crappy product (which Husqvarna is not) but because I was mislead and was sold a chainsaw which clearly was used and returned to the seller and repackaged. ... show more

This thing is a hog! (In a good way)
Size: 16 inch - 435 Chainsaw
Great saw, I had a stihl ms170 which is comparable in price to this saw, this saw puts the 170 to shame. I literally opened it up adjusted tension, removed the spark arrestor, put bar oil, and mix in it and went and cut down a 20 foot tree this hog made surprisingly quick work of the tree, felling, limbing, and portioning the whole tree. This thing could easily fit a 18” bar, with the 16” it comes with this little fatty is a race car. For the same money as the ms170 You’re getting trice the saw. ... show more

Husqvarna 435 Gas Chainsaw, 40-cc 2.2-HP "Very Nice Saw"
Size: 16 inch - 435 Chainsaw
Initially I was concerned, the saw seemed to run a bit lean, and the carb controls although adjustable there is no tool available that fits the adjustors. But, after maybe 2 hours of total runtime the saw saw seems to have been broken in and now runs excellent. Easy to start, easy to use, and has a surprising amount of power for a 40cc engine. ... show more
