I've had this saw got just over a year now and while a 28" bar is within the rating and with a skip chain it's pretty decent, you put a 24" with a skip chain and it just eats wood all day, even more ridiculous with a 20". Dropped well over 200 trees, nearly crushed it with the tractor, and also nearly crushed it with a tree that didn't cooperate fully. Broke the brake handle, easy replacement, broke my 3/4 wrap handle when the tree nearly crushed it, but hey, slap that stock handle back on and away we go! Always starts. I will say, if I had to do again, I'd probably think again about paying the extra$$ and get the 572XP, but I probably still go with the 562xp, it's such a great saw. ... show more

This is a no-nonsense professional saw. This saw runs great. Is easy to start. Has auto-tune which compensates for elevation, fuel quality and air cleaner restriction. You will not be disappointed with this saw. Keep the bar length 20 inches or shorter and go cut some wood.

I have three of these saws. Never had an issue with any of them no matter what the temp is outside. I live in Florida and never had an issue starting them in the hot weather after the saw has been warmed up. I think the people with negative comments just never learned how to operate the saw properly. User error not the saw IMO. These are awesomely designed saws and I highly recommend this saw to anyone looking for a light, fast and reliable saw that just rips and one you can use all day. Pair it with lightweight bar under 24”, mix your gas right(very important). Read how to start/run the saw if you’re not familiar with 2stroke engined and you’ll be good to go for years to come. I've put about 3 tanks of fuel through it, runs fine when it will start. I went to start it today and it has no spark. My old 445 Husky saw ran forever, this thing isn't even a year old and its worthless. I have a stump grinder rented for this weekend now I can't use that either, money lost. I have to take off work early to get it to the Husqvarna repair shop (more money lost) who will probably have it a couple months due to no parts because of COVID then say its not under warranty (more money lost). So I might get it back before everything starts to freeze, I won't be able to cut wood until then, which means I'll probably be cutting wood in the middle of winter during snow and ice. I bought this saw from my local Amish outdoor equipment dealer. I have had it with this piece of junk Husqvarna 562xp. Why is it a piece of junk? A chain saw is no good if it does not start. I have taken back to the dealer three times - the first two times they adjusted it - did not help much. The last time I took it in they replaced that stupid chip. It worked fine but of course that was in the winter time. In the winter time once you learn how to finesse the saw (it is finicky) it does pretty good in the winter time. The problem is that in the summer time - when it is hot outside the saw will start and run for one time. Once it gets hot is just will not start again. This is the forth Husqvarna chain saw that I have owned, and I stayed with Husqvarna because the other saws I owned worked flawlessly. Every time I replaced my saw I went to a bigger and more powerful saw. Well, this one with that stupid auto tune is junk because it will not start in the summer time. For a $700 saw I expect much better. HUSQVARNA - do you pay attention to this reviews? You need to replace this saw with one that works or you will certainly loose sales. But I hope that you do the right and honorable thing and stand behind your product. Please replace this saw with one that will work and work in all seasons. I can not have a saw that lives at the repair shop or one that will not start. ... show more

I’ve had this saw for a little over a year. It’s the 4th or 5th Husqvarna. Lots of power. 3/8 chain will eat some wood. I’m Running a 24“ chain and saw has no problem turning it. Definitely recommend
