Overall fairly satisfied with the fan. I am not a novice, nor pro when it comes to installation. I found the instruction ,manual unclear & somewhat confusing. I feel they could have put together a better installation manual. As far as the operation goes, it moves air nicely. There is no wobble, although as others have said, there is a AC hum that can be annoying. Also, others have said the remote control to turn fan on/off & dim, is kinda cheap looking I AGREE. Dimming feature does not work well, although, it does work. The light does not get that bright either. I guess I feel when paying $229.00 for a high quality Hunter fan, I was expecting a little more. Also, make sure to pair up the remote to the fan once the electrical is connected. It might not work if you don't pair it up thinking you to believe the wireless module is broken or fan is wired wrong! ... show more

I put this fan in my 12 x 16 screened in porch. It was easy to install, much the same as many other ceiling fans. One thing I liked about this one that was different than the many others I have installed as the mounting of the blades. They get mounted with three screws to the pre-installed brackets on the motor rotor. So instead of two steps to install the blades, its just one. Everything else was similar to any other fan. This one came with a stubby shaft for close mount applications which we used, it only got me closer to the ceiling by an inch, but it does feel like it made a difference. The light is very sufficient for the room it is in and the fan is more than adequate for the room size. Overall, I'm a big fan. I will report back in the future to tell you if the fan blades have held up outside or not. ... show more

Great quality fans. Work well- light and fan are operated by the hand held remote. Also can use an on/off switch at the entrance to the room. Great replacement for my old fans in the bedrooms. Purchased four of them.. Electrician said they were well made and installed easily.

    • Buyer Beware: Faulty Product With Even Worse Customer Support

Summary: You can expect to waste 3+ hours of your time or your worse your electricians time,to install the fan, work through horrible support to determine you have a faulty product they don't want to warranty, and then tear out fan and re-box and return the item. Details: I received the fan and installed it, only to find out that the remote receiver was faulty. I contacted Hunter fan support and waited 20+ minutes for them to confirmed the fan remote receiver was faulty. They then said that they would email information on the warranty part and that I needed to reply to the email with the proof of purchase. I immediately did as they asked and emailed the proof of purchase from Amazon. After waiting a week and not hearing back from the email, I again contacted customer support again by phone. After waiting 30+ minutes for help, I asked if they shipped the replacement part. They said they would look into it. They confirmed they had not shipped the replacement as the proof of purchase was sent from a mobile device and they only accept receipts that are sent from desktop computers. They said I would need to locate a desktop computer to send them a different copy of the receipt/proof of purchase. They cannot accept receipts sent from mobile devices. I instead choose to return the item as I do not have access to a desktop computer. I highly recommend not purchasing Hunter Fans as their support is designed to be frustrate you so they can decline clear warranty parts for ridiculous reasons. ... show more
