To preface this, I AM NOT A MECHANIC!! That being said, I got this to figure out minor things with my vehicle rather than running to the shop for every little thing. I got the app downloaded and finally got the device connected. Ran the diagnostic part of the app on two different vehicles. It popped with 2 codes for each vehicle and on our SUV it gave details on what could be causing the issues. On the truck, it didn’t. When I tried running different tests and options on the app, the app itself would glitch and close out. I really like this even though I’m not totally sure what I’m doing. I would have rated it higher if all the details had shown up and the app wasn’t glitchy. ... show more

tl;dr - This is a nice tool for troubleshooting and getting access to OBD2 data. It worked on our 2012 Subaru Impreza using a Google Pixel 6 Pro. Pros: - Downloaded the app through the Google Play Store instead of having to side load, which could be a security risk - Worked well for our 2012 Subaru Impreza - The app developer even thought of small ideas that are helpful (e.g., a flashlight button in the top bar of the app since you might be working under the hood when using it) Cons: - It did take a couple of minutes for me to navigate and understand what I was looking at, but the values updated in real time for things like RPMs and throttle position ... show more

I’ve always wanted to get an OBD2 device, so I was looking forward to trying this one. In general, it was pretty easy to use - install the app on your phone, find the OBD2 port in the car, insert the device, start the car, pair the device using Bluetooth, and then launch the app. The app shows all sorts of interesting statistics of what’s happening in the engine and electrical system. You can read diagnostic codes if there are any. All of that works pretty well. However, a few of the app’s functions crashed the app (see picture). I tried multiple times, but it crashed every time. I have a late-model iPhone with an up-to-date version of iOS, so that’s not it. I submitted an issue to their tech support with the above screenshot but I never got a response. I suppose it’s not critical, but it’s unfortunate that I couldn’t test those features. ... show more
