This is a super easy to operate scanner to have at your home. I have a 2022 Chevy Silverado diesel and logged right on with no issues. Multiple information was given about my vehicle using the scanner. Luckily, there were no code problems at this time. I feel this will come in handy in the future and avoid unnecessary trips to the dealership when I have error codes on my dash. Very good value and a must for the home mechanic!

This unit works fine on my 2011 Corolla but failed on my 2003 Toyota Tacoma. Reads info easy on the Corolla. Fast to boot and make readings. Too bad that it will not communicate with my 2003 Tacoma. Customer service is excellent with very good communication. They did all they could to help me, including offering a refund when it did not work out. I would deal with this company again. One star off for not working on my truck.

First off: the most experience I have had is the DTC readers you can be loaned from the auto parts store which we all know are a luck of the draw and generally pretty "tired". Thankfully this product is easy to use and features a straight-forward visual interface which is true to it's pictures except for the screen colors aren't as bright as one would hope. For example, when you get to the home screen, you can navigate to select different functions but the highlight box is a little tough to read, even without direct sunlight. I'm not sure if it's just me or not, but the down button doesn't work at all, no matter what screen I'm in or even if I try it on a different vehicle. It's not a big deal because the menus can be cycled through via the up and left/right arrows. Other than that I think this will be a very handy tool to save me from running to borrow a reader and recommend it to others with the same need but don't expect something top of the line.

I'm an older seasoned automotive technician, I'm reviewing this product based on my many years of experience in the field using high quality tools. This hand held Automotive OBD2/Heavy Truck scanner is supposed to be for both automotive and heavy truck diagnostics. Have a heavy duty scanner in the shop already, but thought a backup would be a good idea. This scanner is basically just a code reader, so nothing special. Hooked it up to a Ram pickup with a gas engine, it give basic data stream information with no real diagnostic ability. We work on a lot of automotive based diesel engines and was hoping this scanner would be an addition to what we already have in the shop, guess not. Hooked it up to a heavy truck with a Cummins engine, was hoping to do some diagnostics, wasn't really able to, the information and codes that the scanner put out did not match anything in our information system. The scanner prompts and selected programs were okay, but not exceptional. The screen is very small, barely readable. Does come with an instruction manual that has very small print and not readable without a magnifying glass. The manual is not as in depth as I think it could be. Kit comes with a short OBD2 cord and a 9 pin heavy truck connector. Price point is considered high for this item.

Got this to replace my old reader, which worked great, but was just out of date. This one is fantastic. Easy to use, and gives me so much more information than my old reader. I can read my engine information in real time while the engine is running, check my battery, fuel information, most of the engine sensors, all on a bright and easy to read screen. The buttons are solid and feel great, even with gloves on.
