It was a medium sized machine. It fit on our countertop, but I did not know since it has refrigerant inside, you cannot leave it near a heat source. It does work well to make crushed ice. It makes ice very within about 8 mins. My kids could not wait to use it.

Not exactly sonic ice but close

The media could not be loaded. I've been wanting a nugget ice maker for a long time so I was thankful to snag this one on sale. It is super easy to use, just one button on the whole machine. I use distilled water only so it won't get mineral build up. It does take about 20 minutes to make enough ice
for a large cup. The ice is not hollow like sonic ice, it's a solid nugget ice so a little more difficult to chew but same effect. It's not super loud but I wouldn't run it when people are trying to sleep. I took one star off because it does not keep the ice cold. So basically as soon as it's done making the ice you need to use it because there's no chiller to keep the ice from melting. If you want ice all day you need to run it all day. I've read that you can freeze the ice in baggies then bang it on the counter to break it up again. I have not tried this yet. I would say the basket holds enough for 2 small cups of ice or one very large cup of ice.

I've had this ice maker for several months now, and it has become one of my favorite buys. It definitely is a bit noisy, but the ice is consistently made and has an amazing texture. I love nugget ice! I received my order and followed the rules and after a few hours, started it up and it started making ice in minutes. Then 20 min later it said out of water. The water was still at the full line when I checked. I tried to reach out to the manufacturer to do troubleshooting, but you
can only send an email and they never responded. I replaced it through Amazon and the second one came and this time it actually works. It makes ice so quickly it's great. However, I would suggest to immediately put the ice in the freezer, it melts so fast keeping it in the machine. This thing does work awesome and fast. I love the ice. I guess if they made it to keep the ice colder it would've cost a ton more. I just hope I don't have to try to contact the manufacturer because I know they won't respond.
