for a small little charger, this thing does work. I was skeptical about the pulse desulfator, so i was giving it a try to see how it did. It wont fully restore a tired old battery, but there is certainly something to this. I had an old tired boat starter battery. It holds charge long enough to start a warm outboard once, twice maybe, if it didnt start on the first two tries, I'd have to put on the charger to try a 3rd. I let this charger work on it over the course of a month or so. I would drain the battery a little with some lights, then run the restore mode for a long time. it charges at 2 amps and it auto cuts off when full, so I just let it run until it shut off. Put it on a load test prior to the charge and the initial load test was bad. After the maintenance, it still wasnt great, but it was improved. Ran it down with the lights again, charged it in desulfator mode, load tested it again, a little better. Did it a 3rd time but then let it sit untouched for probably a month, checked the voltage and it was holding at 12.3. prior to this charger, it would have been in the 10-11V range for sure and not able to start my boat. I just used it on my boat that had been sitting for a month, You know how a boat acts when sitting, takes a bit to start up, well it started after the 3rd key turn, then died, same with attempt 4-6, attempt 7 it started up and ran. so I got 7 turns of the key and the 7th attempt was as strong as the first. prior to this charger, it would have been a whole ordeal with extension cords and pauses to charge enough to turn it over. Not saying its Voo-Doo, but I will not be worried about bringing the charger with me in the car next time I go out fishing. I now have enough trust in the battery. Oh, its also a good maintainer. I'm not 100% confident in the percentage of charge that is registered, but it doesnt overcharge based on my volt meter so the max charge seems spot on. I tried it for a short spurt on a very worn out mower battery, didnt do so much for that one, but it was most likely far to far gone. But if you have a battery that's just not up to good enough, but it still works, I bet this will bring some life back to it ... show more

This is a repeat order. Because of some problems with my golf cart I have to charge the batteries individually. I only have to do it 4x a year but it takes 4 days per battery.
