After coming home late one evening from visiting my husband in the hospital I found my front door was standing wide open! I was terrified! After calling our local police I got on Amazon looking for ways to see what goes on at our home even when we aren’t there & found the Hugolog security light. It mounted very easily on the corner of the house under the eaves making it not very noticeable as well as out of the way & high enough to have a great visual area! I love the phone app making it very easy to monitor two sides of our home. I’m now considering more of them to monitor other areas of our rural home. It’s a much less expensive security measure (NO monthly fees!) than other options which brings us both a great deal of comfort knowing we’ll be notified immediately should anything worrisome happen at our house whether we’re home or not! After trying 2 different cameras from two different manufacturers, I decided to try the Hugolog G-3 camera. As they say, the third time was the charm. The camera was extremely easy to hook up (this coming from a guy who is a dinosaur when it comes to technology). The quality of the image is excellent, and moving the lens to see all parts of the room is very easy to do. The camera is very responsive with minimal delay in moving the lens to see what I need to see. Best of all, I needed some help to add an additional phone to the camera. I called the phone # on the instruction booklet (yes, they actually print their phone number on the booklet)on a Saturday at 3pm and a real person answered. Let me repeat that…a REAL live person answered. Jesse is the gentleman who answered and he patiently walked me through how to add the camera to a second phone. No chat box crap, no email to a support person who you may or may not hear from in days. This was a real person who resolved my issue in a matter of minutes. It’s a great product I’ve had a minor issue with the network connection but other than that the framework is crystal clear it sends me screenshots of who’s approaching my door,It has an alarm system and what’s best is I didn’t have to sign up for a subscription.

UPDATE: This lightbulb camera is the best camera for the money. It needed an update for the SD Card and Adam. From Customer Service was very knowledgeable, understanding and very helpful to me for setup. ( I’m not a tech savvy) lol. But I am so happy to have found this item that was inexpensive and works GREAT! I have a neighbor destroying my plants and caught him from the door ring bell but I put this camera light bulb on my second floor patio to see downwards. Guess what he now waves at it. You got to Love it! The camera is functional and great, so far in the cold weather of frost and freezing temperatures it works like a charm. UPDATE: same as above, but my neighbor hates it. Because now I can really catch him destroying my plants and grading from my 2nd floor patio. Also this Light Bulb camera is amazing, it’s inexpensive, functional in cold weather and so much more. It’s better than the stickup cam I have outback at my garage is still dark video regardless of the infrared and color on it. GREAT CAMERA! I would buy again! Thanks Hugolog! ... show more

It's easy enough to set up and instructions are OK. But once installed, the camera is just average and visibility is good enough but to control the camera is a pain sometimes. You need to face it down and then turn it otherwise it'll not move at all.

UPDATE: Changing my review because their customer service is A+. I was contacted after my review and they tried all they could to help me. I had already sent in for a refund but they still continued to help me. They sent me a new bulb and it was a wrong one, they resent and I installed yesterday and so far so good I am loving it. I am giving 5 stars on customer service alone but so far mine is working much better than my other one. I turned the light on and was able to turn it off. So happy!! I bought this to try to capture my hummingbirds but it didn’t get them. They said it was because it couldn’t capture them because they were small. Well it got the little tiny bugs. I still was trying it just to capture other things but them it was just randomly going off and nothing was there. Then it stayed on and would not go off. I waited for an hour.
