I found it relatively easy to put together. Only real issue for me was the one break line didn't come attached to the handle/pull lever and was a little difficult to figure out, especially since it's not in the instructions... but, I still had it assembled and adjusted in about 30 minutes... not sure how/why it took others an hour or 2. Box was pretty beat up when it arrived, but the bike was in good condition. Again, looks great, seems well built, and my 8 year old loves it. ... show more

My youngest son has been riding this bike for a little over a year now. This has held up to countless crashes, trails and normal wear without issue. That said I do a lot of regular maintenance on it; wash, chain lubricant, shifter adjustments. It did have a tiny bit of damage from shipping where the paint was scratched but let’s be honest our kids will do way worse to it day one lol. Overall it’s a great kids bike. ... show more

Not happy with this purchase. Straight out of the box, the cheap plastic chain guard was broken off. Tires came deflated. When I attempted to air up the front tire I found a hole in the inner tube. Needless to say, on Christmas morning there are not any stores open to purchase a tube repair kit. Ther rear reflector was found broken and in the bottom of the box. This is the easiest bike I've ever put together!! No instructions needed. Slide the forks into the neck of the frame, slide the handlebars down into the neck of the frame, allign and tighten 1 bolt. Screw on the pedals and slide the seat on and tighten. That's it!!! All the tools to put it together are included. It arrived nicely packaged with no damage. My only complaint is the tread design. Not sure how well they will grip on dirt trails. ... show more

This is the sixth bike I've purchased online and assembled. The only difference I noted from previous bikes and this "quick assembly" version was that the front wheel was already attached. That said, both sets of brakes were locked up to where the wheels wouldn't spin, so the brake cables had to be adjusted, which is always a pain. One of the brake pads was misaligned and the hex bolt holding it was stripped. Thankfully it's the front brake, and the boy can get by just using the back break until I can purchase a new front caliper set. There's a cap and spring on the handlebars that came apart. I couldn't find documentation on how they went back together, so I just did my best to reassemble. At the end of the day, I don't entirely trust the bike based on all the adjustments I had to make to it. ... show more

Bought this as a Christmas gift for 6 year old daughter. Was easy to put together for me. It's a bit too big for her at the moment but I didn't want to buy an 18 inch she would only use for 1 year. Well built bike.
