Just put it together out of the box. Took me about 10 minutes and came with all of the tools needed. Seems to be made of good quality hardware and frame. Tires don't come inflated so you'll need an air compressor or pump. Rides smooth and sturdy. Time will tell if it holds up under normal use.

The bike itself is great. However the shipping kept getting delayed and when we received it, it was clear the packaging needed to be better. There was two holes in the box. One that had been repaired along the way by using another piece of cardboard, but a piece of the bike was still poking out of the repair upon arrival. When attempting to put the bike together, the instruction booklet did not match the items in front of me. Luckily I remembered there was a video on the Amazon page and that was PERFECT! The holes in the shipping did cause us to lose the red rear reflector and one of the pegs but that’s not a big deal. I do wish the frame had holes for a water bottle holder, but I’ll figure that out. Bought this for my tall 7yr old. The bikes colors are so much more vivid in person. Bike assembly took a couple of hours due to one of the wheel slots not being wide enough for it to fit properly. Luckily my husband was able to use one of his golf tools to widen the part and we were able to assemble properly before the kids woke up Christmas morning. This was the absolute best gift. We unfortunately had issues with a purchase BEFORE this one and when I saw this one I knew my 8 year old would be in love and sure enough on his 8th birthday he was beyond excited. His review would be - "Absolutely the best gift EVER! My brothers love it so much too and all the kids in the neighborhood wanna have the same bike too. It has the best breaks and tires, and even came with a few "extras" in the bike (Some stickers) Any other little boy or girl would absolutely love this bike too!" Cool bike for the price. Great for kids! Not a pro BMX bike but it'll get you there. Would recommend for light use by adults and medium to heavy bashing for kids. I ride freestyle flatland and vert. This could handle my flatland... not my vert. But, if you want to save some money and get started on the right path this is the bike for you.
