I found it relatively easy to put together. Only real issue for me was the one break line didn't come attached to the handle/pull lever and was a little difficult to figure out, especially since it's not in the instructions... but, I still had it assembled and adjusted in about 30 minutes... not sure how/why it took others an hour or 2. This is a nice little bike for the buck. My 7yo is tiny for her age and just about 45 pounds and when the seat is at its lowest she can just barely balance and control a stop. She loves it and her first use of a kickstand. It’s a solid build. EDIT: I shall eat my words. Tonight while biking my daughters pedal just randomly fell off. I had no tools with me, so we walked the 3 miles home. Great bonding time, but awful since it was dark and she’s not a fan of the dark. Also her back wheel just locked up every now and then. My youngest son has been riding this bike for a little over a year now. This has held up to countless crashes, trails and normal wear without issue. That said I do a lot of regular maintenance on it; wash, chain lubricant, shifter adjustments. Not happy with this purchase. Straight out of the box, the cheap plastic chain guard was broken off. Tires came deflated. When I attempted to air up the front tire I found a hole in the inner tube. Needless to say, on Christmas morning there are not any stores open to purchase a tube repair kit. Ther rear reflector was found broken and in the bottom of the box. This is the easiest bike I've ever put together!! No instructions needed. Slide the forks into the neck of the frame, slide the handlebars down into the neck of the frame, allign and tighten 1 bolt. Screw on the pedals and slide the seat on and tighten. That's it!!! All the tools to put it together are included. It arrived nicely packaged with no damage. My only complaint is the tread design. Not sure how well they will grip on dirt trails. ... show more

I want to give it 5 stars because my daughter loves it.. but it arrived damaged and some parts bent. I straightened them and she rides it. Not sure who was at fault but maybe use more padding when packing the box.
