Description

Only from Huffy! The Huffy Stone Mountain is equipped to deliver in looks and in performance. The striking look in purple gloss, the 21 speeds, and the front suspension all add up to one hardtail ready for action. Backed by our limited lifetime warranty, (see owner's manual for details), the steel hardtail frame provides solid performance and efficiently transfers your pedal power for strong acceleration on straight surfaces and uphill climbs. Just follow the simple step-by-step instructions; our product manual guides you through every step. This 24-inch model is ideal for ages 12-19 and a rider height of 58-70 inches; an alloy quick release enables easy seat height adjustments. The ATB saddle, with premium padding, has stitched sides for lasting comfort. Front suspension on the Stone Mountain handles uneven terrain with ease. The suspension fork, in rich black gloss, absorbs any bumps and dips encountered on your path for a smoother-feeling ride. The indexed SHIMANO TZ-31 rear derailleur combines with the micro-shift twist shifter to deliver 21 speeds on-demand for uphill climbing, downhill riding, or pure acceleration. The removable rear derailleur guard protects the gears from any unintentional damage. Knobby 24" X 1.95" tires provide good traction in wet and dry conditions - on dirt, gravel, or even pavement. Lightweight alloy wheels in matte black blend well with the overall design. Front and rear steel linear pull handbrakes provide consistent, dependable stopping action on demand. The slight-rise handlebar enables upright riding to minimize back and shoulder strain. Kraton grips remain comfortable to the touch on short and longer rides.

  • Brake levers rotated upward
Color: Matte Black Size: 26 Inch Wheels/17 Inch Frame
The brake levers are upside down and above the handle bars. I can't loosen and rotate them to the correct angle because the brake wires block the allan wrench hole for the brake levers on both sides Update: I found the solution. I had to loosen the screw just below the center of the handle bars and rotate the handle bars and brake levers as one. ... show more

  • Shame on Amazon for labeling this “Amazons Choice”
Color: Dark Blue Size: 26 Inch Wheels/17 Inch Frame
I really hate writing a bad review, I have a business and I understand when idiots want to rant about nonsense to get money back. That’s not why I am here. I am here because I just want to save others from going through what I went through. I almost always read reviews before I buy, but I didn’t on this one because I trusted the “Amazon’s Choice” label that’s put next to the rating. I figured I can’t go wrong. I don’t know pricing on bikes, and I take responsibility for that, if I knew that the price would lead to me saying “you get what you pay for” I would have bought a nicer bike, which, I’m going to have to end up doing now anyway. This bike is junk, it might as well be sitting in a dump somewhere. It’s garbage. I’ve ridden it maybe 4 times. Every single time I ride it (I’ve been trying to ride for about an hour to get a decent work out), every time I ride this bike the handle bar comes loose. The first time it came so loose it was just flopping around and almost falling off, I couldn’t believe it. I thought maybe I didn’t tighten it enough. So each time now before I ride, I have to tighten it as much as possible and every single time by the end of the hour it’s coming loose. Now on my last ride yesterday, not only was the handlebar coming loose, the left pedal is falling off. Keep in mind I’m not doing bike stunts or tricks, I’m not mountain biking on crazy trails. I am riding my bike around boston on flat easy to ride bike trails that aren’t strenuous. I am a novice rider who is barely even pushing the limits of the bike yet this piece of trash is falling apart right from under me as I ride it gently around bike trails in the city. It’s kind of a joke. Don’t waste your money, seriously. Spend a little more and get a real bike. Now I will have to do the same and just eat the loss because the return policy doesn’t let me return it anymore and I haven’t even had it a month. Enjoy the money you robbed me of, huffy, you’ll never get another dollar from me ever again. ... show more

  • Nice bike for the price
Color: Dark Blue Size: 26 Inch Wheels/17 Inch Frame
It came mostly assembled except for the handlebars, seat, peddles, and front tire. I'm 6' and it didn't feel like I was able to get good extension with my legs without raising the seat a lot. Adding a layback seat post helped provide a couple more inches of leg room. The noodle on the front brake broke when making initial adjustments and needed to be replaced. Overall it seems like a good bike in this price range. I'll provide any updates if needed once I get a few miles on it, after it cools down and the temps are no longer getting into the 100's. ... show more

  • It's a bike
Color: Dark Blue Size: 26 Inch Wheels/17 Inch Frame
I am impressed with the colors, the accompanying tools for assembly, the instructions, and ease of use. Solid bike that meets my needs for relatively short distances. Unsure if a flaw with the bike or the bolts mine came with, but the handlebar required extensive work and effort to bolt on and to stop slippage. Additionally, the chain keeps popping off but I have not made enough adjustments to ensure that is the bike and not myself doing something wrong. ... show more

  • It is the right bike for the price
Color: Purple Size: 26 Inch Wheels/17 Inch Frame
Quality is good, it is for weekend rides, nothing hardcore, or for competition level.. but is a good buy if you know what you needs are.
