Wow something well designed for seniors or for elderly people that are a little bit on the heavy side to get up after a fall. I'm a bit on the heavy side and I have what's called peripheral neuropathy which is a leg weakness. Other than some bumps and bruises I usually don't get injured when I fall around the house. Well the fall is a rare occurrence I did have to get an ambulance here one time and call a friend to come and open the house. This is why today I keep one of those realtor lock boxes on the front door with the key inside. Couple years ago I slipped and fell in the bathroom. Because I didn't have my shoes with me I wasn't able to get up on the tile floor so I couldn't gain any traction. After that instance I bought a an air mattress of double height so that I could basically blow it up and lift me up to sitting position. That way if I called a friend They could bring me the air mattress and it could help raise me up. Years ago when my mom had falls and it was difficult because of her Arthritis and back issues to pick her up we used one of those double heights of air beds to pick her up off the floor. This device is much better much easier to use and it wouldn't have take multiple people to support her back like when we raised her up with the air mattress. In fact I like the special action of how it sort of maintains a good sitting position so somebody can raise themselves up and doesn't have to need anybody support them once they get on the device. Another thing because of my weight I've not been able to take a bath in decades. My home when I purchased it 20 years ago has 2 really nice bathtubs in it and one of them I replaced into a large stall shower with hold down seat. I haven't tried it yet because I've been using my other bathtub as sort of a storage space right now but I kind of want to clear it out and try this out to take a nice relaxing hot bath that I haven't had in years. These are old style bathtubs so they're fairly wide and deep and this should work well inside of them even the largest of the shower chairs which I used to use in one of them fits pretty well. This has an easy to use hand control and is easy to raise up then to a sitting position and then just simply get off of it. At that point if you have a friend or somebody else present you can determine whether or not you sustained an injury in the fall. Of course since it's not for falls only it also helps people take a bath you don't have to worry about injuries there. Although you should probably install some grab bars when you step out of the tub. This can be used not only for the elderly, the heavy, you can also be used if you are rehabbing from some sort of an operation or injury. Easy assemble just install the back and connect the control And this folds down to fairly thin structure. It can be slid under some beds it can be stood upright in a slide in the corner behind a bed or a pc of furniture. In my case There is a large space under the double sink in the master bath and it doesn't have anything underneath it and no cabinetry or anything it's just open so I'm able to store it there for a while for when needed. Coincidentally that's the same bath that I fell down in and couldn't get up having to call a friend and then an ambulance service. I think 1 of the best things about this is a price and I noticed since I picked it up on the vine the price has been reduced which is a good thing as well. As mine and other generations get older or weaker and have other conditions that are makes them prone to falls It can be a life saver. The time I described where I fell and had to call people when the ambulance people arrived it took 2 ambulances and 4 people and some sort of a sling to put under me to pick me up and carry me out of the bathroom. They were simply able to deposit me on the nearby bed, check me out my vitals I was OK so they left. Unfortunately I did have insurance for the ambulance and it wouldn't have been much charged cause they Fortunately I did have insurance for the ambulance and there wouldn't have been much charge cause they didn't actually take me anywhere. Plus because I had a friend come over before I evaluated that they wouldn't help me to get up because it took more than one person I didn't have to get the door broken down in order to come get me with the EMS people. Now if I can call a friend over if I'm not near by the device I can just have them bring it to me and take care of it without calling the ambulance. This would have been a must have item back when my mom used to have her her frequent falls around the house. Recommended.

Excellent, well designed chair lift that can be used anywhere, including the bath. I love the water proof design to help our grandmother onto the bed, the couch and even the bath. It's sturdy, holds up to 308lbs and is very easy to use. I wish we had this a while ago as it's a must have for those of us who are assisting those who need this kind of help. It's foldable, easy to store and excellent quality. Highly recommend. This is a game changer in assistance.
