    • Five stars is just an assumption
The cat eats it, so I will try to convey his thoughts, since he cannot verbalize and is unable to use a keyboard with his large furry feet. He has been eating it for four years, so it seems reasonable to assume that he likes it, BUT maybe he actually hates it and has dreams of having me locked in a kennel with him in charge of feeding me. In the dream he just feeds me the same thing every day until the end of time itself and he just assumes that I like it because he cannot discern my words as I beg him to give me ANYTHING else. In addition, In his dream I would also be forced to relieve myself in a large plastic box filled with clay absorbent - but he would occasionally forget to clean it, so I would have to step around my own clumped feces and urine every time I had to go. You never know. OR just maybe having no variety in his diet all these years has given him cat PTSD and one night he's just going to snap and attack my unprotected face while I sleep. Even then, I would not know why he attacked me and so I would probably just end up giving him away after he did that six or seven times and my eyes were all scratched out. Then I would need a seeing eye dog, but I would just be in the exact same predicament with the food that I gave to the dog. The sad truth is that I don't and can't know if he likes it or not, so I am giving it five stars because it's expensive and comes in elaborate packaging, so I assume it must be good. ... show more

The Blue Buffalo Red Meat for cats is a little expensive but very good. I wish BB would say what kinds of red meat are in it. And I wish they'd also offer the Trout again. But meanwhile I'm getting this on subscription.

I like the quality of this cat food as I like to know I'm feeding my kitties the best kibble I can afford. However, I'm not ashamed to admit I tried it and it tasted like really nasty cardboard. I gave it 4 stars for the higher quality, but it lost a star for taste and I don't think I'll be buying it again. ... show more

Trying to find an alternative to the only 2 choices I'm finding lately for dry cat food, chicken and fish. Both of my boys are getting tired of chicken, so needed something else. I was surprised to find just how little selection is out there for dry cat food flavors. Why doesn't someone make a mouse flavored cat food?? Or maybe pork (ham, bacon, etc)?? Cats like variety, yet the food manufactures seem to have forgotten this (someone should make them eat only chicken and fish for a couple years). ... show more

Blue Buffalo is best cat food for ferrel cats. I have one who adopted us three years ago. She is very healthy, shiney coat, has not been sick, no scratching ever, clean ears. I could never get her to a vet (finally let me brush her but won't let me pick her up) so Blue Buffalo keeps her as healthy as she can be. Good food is pricier but well worth it if you want these cats to have a quality life and not just surviving. ... show more

Ever since I switched to the red meat flavor, my cat started to vomit undigested kibbles. First I thought maybe it was due to hairball or my cat playing too hard with a full tummy. But after observing closely the next day, I found that my cat vomited immediately (like 5 - 20 mins) after eating, which happened twice. My cat of two years old is usually quite tolerant to all kinds of food. This is the first time that food-related vomit happened to him. I ended up having to throw away the full bag.
