My HP Z240 Small Form Factor Workstation, Intel Quad Core i5-6500 up to 3.6GHz, 16G DDR4, 512G SSD, WiFi, BT 4.0, DVD, Windows 10 Pro 64 Bit machine came packed perfectly for protection and had just one light and skinny scratch an inch and a half long, rest is just like new! I'm not remembering about the nearly mint cosmetics since the performance is superb! Everything is HP Factory Spec, not pieced together mem, SSD etc. Designed and built as business device so would have been mainly hardwired for security and control reasons explaining the lack of onboard radios so, Amazon is including a basic BT/WIFI dongle that works fine and comes with an actual CD, that's not needed. Updates were fast and got completed right away! Comes ready to go with 3 display-port outputs but order the DisplayPort to HDMI adapter too and use this like I do with my 20" TV, it's a perfect pair! Just pick a port and PC should find your TV on it'd first power-up, like mine did. I can't stand waiting for "processing" and this is fast! No bloat wear! It's fast alright, by fast I mean it's lickety-split between windows and websites and does not keep you waiting for stuff, much like a terrific co-worker that's always on the ball! Would need video card for robust gaming but don't get it for that. Get this for the capable workhorse that it is and for the terrific specs and build quality. Been pushing it 3 days straight without a break and it's performing cool and quietly. Decent cheapo wired keyboard and mouse and BT-WIFI dongle set inc. Streaming videos, downloading files and doing communications with multi-windows running 72+ hours without a hiccup! I love it...would buy another if I could reason out a need! The HP z240 pc works great. I bought two. One at 17.24 after a credit and sent to a relative : ) The other was a total of $135.77 which I have. You turn on the pc and it starts the install of Windows 10. The SSD was 1TB and not the 500Gb one as in the ad : ) The SSD has 4 partitions. You can download the free EaseUS Partition Master to view more details then Manage from This PC. System 100MB Bootmgr, Windows Recovery 750MB, OS (C) and HP_Tools 5GB <- holds bios The one I bought for myself was from Sept 2018. A review from 2016 said suggested price of $3,200!! I bought a pair of SATA cables for $5.46 and plugged in a 2nd 3.5" 7,200 rpm hard drive. The pc has room for 3 hard drives. You can buy the LeFix 5 Pack Screws Isolation Grommet Mute Mounting bolts for HP 3.5" needed to secure the drive for $6.99 at Amazon. Use Winkey1.4 to view your serial number/product key and copy it for later installs if needed. Backup the hard drive image with Macrium Reflect and also buy at Ebay a copy of Windows 10 (less then $50) ... show more

    • Old But Still Good
This HP Z240 Workstation was sold as "refurbished," and came in a box with "Microsoft Authorized Refurbisher" stickers. The computer did not work correctly at first. After trying many different things to make it work, I discovered that one of the RAM sticks was defective. I removed the RAM and that solved the problem; the computer works flawlessly now. I installed Ubuntu 21.10 on the machine without any problems. Then I discovered the motherboard actually has an nVME M.2 slot! It is located in a very awkward place, but it does work, and I was able to install my operating system on it. The box also contained dongles for wifi and bluetooth, but the wifi dongle was only good for 2.4Ghz, so I replaced it with a PCI-E Wifi adapter, which works much better. I don't need the Bluetooth, so I won't bother with it. Definitely. Possibly. Probably-maybe. ... show more

Very happy with this purchase so far. Keyboard and Mouse are both throwaways, but I already had nicer ones from my old PC. Came exactly as stated. Love the SSD, never had one before. Boots up in less than 10 seconds. Never knew how nice SSD's where! At $150, hoping I get 5 years from it. I'll make sure to do regular back-ups just in case. Mainly used for Email and surfing the web. A little bit of data processing, Word & Excel. Works GREAT!!! 5 stars, A+ ... show more
