Bought from amazon warehouse at very low price, and come with a 100% cartridge, a nice purchase. I have another HP color laser printer(M281cdw), I am surprised that if the color cartridge is empty, I can not print in black only mode, which is unbelievable. The cost to replace all 4 cartridge is almost the same as the printer itself. I decided to go with a pure black printer, I no longer need to worry the cost of cartridge, the 148X cartridge can even last almost 10000 pages, I think it is a cost effective choice. Compare to my color printer, this printer is much faster and much louder, and have a fan which will be involved after each print. It is more commercial from this way, but I can live with it. Just a reminder, this model has no WIFI, you need to have an ethernet cable nearby, there is WIFI model available for this printer. Update 4/22/2025: Solid printer—I've used it for nearly two years without a single complaint. It just works, rock-solid and reliable. I still recommend trying the Amazon resale option—the price is about the same as just buying the cartridge alone. If you’re as lucky as I was and receive a 100% cartridge, you basically get a commercial-grade laser printer for free. ... show more

I should start with THIS UNIT IS NOT BLUETOOTH , not a big deal if you know ahead of time but we got it to replace an old one and had to run wires we didn’t expect to run. But it doesn’t effect usage or quality just make sure your getting the correct printer. We use this printer for work. We use it every day. It’s only black and white, but the ink cartridge lasts a very long time. Print quality is great and it’s easy to understand/ use. Scanner works great as well.     • Complete piece of junk.
Purchased this item 4 months. It showed up and was defective upon delivery. Amazon handled it and mailed me a replacement. 4 months later the document feeder stops working. I call HP warranty and spend the next 45 minutes on then phone resetting, unplugging, and pushing various buttons for the individual on the other end of the line. Finally, I run out of time to sit on the phone trying to fix HP's defective item and need to hang up. HP says I need to call back later and keep trying to fix this thing over the phone. Next day I get an email saying the ticket has been closed. So here I am 5 months after purchase with a still broken document feeder and no replacement or repair if the unit. HP warranty is garbage. Since I have now have had 2 of these and they are both broken. I can comfortably say the product is junk and so is HP tech support. ... show more

I work at home a lot and need a scanner that can handle multiple pages & print fast. I’m all about my productivity, the faster I get stuff done the faster I get to hang out with my family. Since I paid out of my pocket for both home & work, I wanted a good price and took a chance at the used models. Can’t beat this one!
