I bought one of these during the kickstarter. It has proven great for keeping 4 rolls of filament ready to use in my K1 Max. and I'm able to print right from it. I've recently gotten a 2nd printer, so when I saw this go on sale for prime day, I went ahead & ordered this 2nd one. It does a good job of kee0ing the filament dry. I use the mode where it will monitor the interior humidity after the initial cyclem and turn back on when it starts to get humid again. This eventually turns off completely after a few days (not sure exactly how long it runs). It isn't airtight, so moisture does seep in eventually when it's off, but it takes some time. If I leave filament in it after it turns off, I just start it up again a few hours before I want to use the printer, and it seems to do well. I typically leave PLA & PETG in it, and haven't run into any issues (I don't leave TPU in it after it shuts off)

Overall, I’m very pleased with the S4. It does what it’s supposed to-dry filament-with the added bonus of being able to load 4 spools at once. Quite an upgrade from my old single spool dryer. Controls are easy to use, it’s not terribly loud (then again, I have an S1 in my bedroom and that noise doesn’t bother me either), and it’s very easy to print directly from the unit thanks to the numerous outlets for filament-4 on top, 2 on each end. If I have one complaint, it’s the lids. I’d have preferred that Sunlu make them permanently attached because these are a little difficult to keep on. When opening the dryer you have to push in a little tab on the lid and if the lid isn’t firmly seated, you’ll push it out. A very minor gripe but considering how well it’s built and how well it works, I’ll live with it.

Excellent, large capacity dryer that is a must if you live in a very humid location. My only issue is the lack of clear instructions on how to actually use it. Took me some digging to understand the different modes and what things like PV even mean. I like to rotate my filament and desiccant out of my dry boxes and into this dryer every couple of weeks to keep things dry and recharge my desiccant at the same time.

I was a bit worried about the size as my work bench is already quite full, but so far it has not been a problem. It works great and can dry four rolls at a time, which is twice as much as any other dryer I've looked at. It bought it to replace an original one-roll Creality dryer and this unit works so much better. There are a couple mods that it needs that are fairly easy: 1. The built in dessicant container is designed for desicant packs, not loose bulk dessicant. This is easily remedied with a 3d-printed mod I found online. 2. The buttons on the top to open the latches are small and hard to hold on to. Again there are some mods on printables to fix this issue. Othewise I am quite impressed with this unit. I would definitely buy one again should the need arise.

This thing is useless if you are trying to dry anything over 55 Celsius. You will get an ER3 error code once it warms up. I am now beyond the return period so I'm stuck with this piece of junk! I did find a possible solution online that requires you to print some spacers for the screws at the bottom of the S4 so it can vent hot air out. We will see if this works I will return with an update if the fix works. You have been warned! UPDATE After printing the spacers it seems to be working. No errors so far. I included a picture of what it looks like with the spacers installed. I hope this helps!

I have the S4 under my Bambu AMS lite. I have to place my AMS on top of it because of the distance limitation of it to my printer. Here’s the thing: it’s a huge pain come time to switch filaments out from the S4 because I have to try to move/balance my AMS each time. I then also have to awkwardly try to keep the S4 door propped open. Okay granted, not everyone will have this setup, AND I do plan on modding this. But even so, because of the orientation, it’s very hard to see and reach the “back” side (right side) to switch filaments. I’m a short individual, but it has more to do with the way the doors hinge open. It would be nice if all sides had a window to see into the dryer through. This seems a little more complicated, but it would be perfect if all sides had a door to access/switch filaments through. All of this being said, it is a very good filament dryer and dispenser. The controls could be a little more friendly, as in, the touch screen is really nothing fancy. As far as the 4 touch buttons, they could have just as easily been physical clickable buttons with the trade off of a nicer display (or, ya know, a better door situation). Value for money: good! I would repurchase it. The way that I can set and forget and keep 4 spools ready to go at a time is fantastic. The auto on/off feature based on the current humidity and temp is the best feature about it. If you’re someone who does multicolor prints often and/or prints daily, I would definitely recommend this dryer.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Love the 4 roll capability. I dry all filament before printing and this is really nice to be able to keep multiple spools/colors dry. This one dryer can keep up with 4 Bambu printers if you plan ahead.
