Description

This Emmett Clock is a Wenge-style, black coffee finished wall clock with a 3/16” thick plate glass cover suspended on chrome-finished buttons. A chrome- finished applied bar style hour markers and silver-finished hands stand out over the white dial. Battery operated with a spun satin silver-finished pendulum. Howard C. Miller founded the company back in 1926 and is based out of Zeeland, Michigan. Howard Miller understood the need to create quality and value in each product. Beautiful clock. Not your typical off the mill boring wall clock. The pendulum makes it unique and glass front gives it an elegant and expensive look. I have another more expensive Herman Miller with a pendulum and chime and my only complaint with this one is that the pendulum on this one swings back and forth rather fast. You probably wouldn't even notice it if this was your only pendulum clock. It is also on a smaller side. Make sure to check the measurements before you order. Finally, the main function: time keeping. No issues here. Maybe it lost a few seconds over the past 6 months, but overall it is an accurate and reliable timepiece. That’s the beautiful clock & adds a touch of class to the room. Good price and great product. I wish they had used black for the hour markers so they would show up better but it’s only an issue during times of bright sunlight. I would buy this again.

    • Mine only lasted 4 years
I live in a dusty old house. The mechanism stopped working after 4 years. The pendulum swings but the hands do not move. As there is only a plexiglass sheet over the front and the sides are open I think dust may have accumulated and stopped the hands. Or, it may be that it just stopped working. Either way I now have to buy a new clock. My old clock had an exposed dial but it lasted 15 years until I dropped it changing the battery. ... show more

I wanted a small vertically oriented clock for a spot in my home office. I also wanted a modern design and this clock was just what I was looking for. Came on time and well packed. The only assembly required was to attach the pendulum to the mechanism, which took all of 5 seconds. The clock came with a battery so nothing else was needed.
