Device installed easily but had some initial issues with WiFi connection. Got in touch with customer service. Eunice was extremely helpful and went above and beyond to help out. Device and network now work seamlessly. Would absolutely recommend product and especially product support.

I bought 3 of these, and unfortunately they came with all different keys. Support told me they couldn't help. I was able to re-key them with a Schlage kit. It was a real pain in the rear, but now all 3 use the same key. I'd probably take them to a locksmith if I did it again, and I'm sure they wouldn't have had any problems with it. ... show more

I've been interested in buying a smart lock that could be controlled by Alexa for quite a while, but was nervous buying this lock since there were no reviews. Called customer service and learned it was a new model, just being released, and I decided to try it. I'm really glad I did. The physical install took only 20 minutes or so. Bluetooth linkup took less than a minute. Wifi link (thru the included gateway) took me forever, but that was mostly my fault and now easily avoided - see below. (Still- the directions in the gateway box or TINY, almost impossible to read and enlarging them would be an easy improvement) I had several "hopes" for this lock, and it met all of them: - I wanted Alexa to be able to open AND CLOSE this lock as part of my nightly "going to bed" scene. It works perfectly and confirms that the lock is closed or if blocked, still open. - I wanted to use the "Tuya Smart Life" app since I have it for many other smart devices - it works well. (This is where my wifi (gateway) install problem occurred. I didn't realize that all I had to do was add the tiny wifi gateway as a device under the category of "gateway control". (I never noticed before- you have to scroll down the page of many different types of add-ons) and it linked and locked onto the lock within seconds.) - It allows many passwords of different types (temporary, permanent, random, etc). - it allows 100 fingerprints! - It is very nice looking, smaller than another lock I have. - It can be controlled from my phone if I am away - It keeps a log in the app of who and when entries were made on the keypad. (It also notes when someone manually locks or unlocks it from inside. Observations- - There are several sound options for keypad beeps etc- I started with that turned off, but found "low" works better. That way you can tell if the first number was accepted (or just woke up the lock). Also, the keypad seems sensitive, so the beeps will tell you if you hit a number 2x. - Passwords must be at least 6 numbers long (that appears to be a Tuya app requirement) - The gateway: - needs to be pretty close to the lock. Mine is under a table about 7 feet away. - is very small, black, and easily concealed. - does not include a power block This lock includes the gateway, is good looking, works great with Alexa, and has more features and methods of access (physical keys, digital keys, passwords, fingerprints) than I could ever use. I will probably buy another when I redo another entry. If any problems develop I will try to update this review, but bottom line is: at this price, I'm really happy. It's a great deal. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I have a very large family. We've lived on military bases for the past 30 years and have grown comfortable leaving our doors unlocked. When we moved to Northern Virginia recently, we wanted the security of being able to check the door wherever we are. This lock was the perfect answer to all our concerns. The multiple methods of unlocking the door make it easy for everyone in my large family. My teenagers enjoy the biometrics, fobs, and keypad while my mother-in-law appreciates the simplicity and familiarity of a traditional key. All the while, my wife and I can monitor the security of our home and everyone's comings and goings. I'm definitely getting a second one for the back door. ... show more

The lock was easy to install and setup. The lock's fingerprint reader works well as well as the password code entry. I was able to set it up to work with Alexa and a 4 digit pass code. The lock also comes with key fob and and regular keys. If the batteries run out while you are out there is a a usb C connector on the bottom of the lock. You can use the metal key of a portable power bank to unlock the lock. There is also a Bluetooth gateway in the box. This is required if you want to be able to operate the lock when not in range of Bluetooth. The lock is well made and works great. There are times the Smart lock will not link with Alexa. The finger print feature works on occasion. Overall I like it. The installation was a bit challenging. I have to modify my door frame for the striker plate to fit.

I love everything about the Hornbell Smart Look it has all the features I was looking for a key fobs, finger print pad ,numeric pad and the ability to unlock and lock from wherever. And it works with Alexa. The lock was very easy to install. I did run into an issue with the lock going off line. I called customer support. Tara was very knowledgeable and knew exactly what I needed to do. She suggested that I move the gateway closer to the lock and my issue was solved.
