  • PERFECT!
This stand works perfectly for our ‘21 JL 4 door hard top. Set up was super simple. Top feels super secure and rolls easily around the shed. Highly recommend.

  • Plain and simple deign. Does the job.
Cant say more. Why buy the super expensive version. This one does the job at a fraction of the price. Its built sturdy and stores the hard top like all other storage trays. Well worth the money.

  • Gets the job done, cheap.
Thoughts: My main concern is that over time using it, I have had to touch up the corners of paint on my roof that make contact with the foam resting areas of the rack. Hindsight being 20/20, I would have suggested more substantial foam support to perhaps prevent this sort of thing a little better. This isn't the end of the world for me due to the price, and due to those parts of the vehicle being very 'invisible' to the eye for most people. I'm six feet tall and I have a difficult time seeing where I had to touch up the corners. I used the oem black Mopar touch up paint that Mopar / Jeep sent me as a gift... Assembly: To combat the issues with fitting the tubes together, I used a rubber mallet I had laying around to gently tap them together. I honestly didn't care about that because for the price I knew I'd be dealing with perhaps a more difficult assembly. I think it might have chipped the powder coat a little on the edge of the tube too when doing this, but I suppose it doesn't matter since that edge isn't exposed, being inserted within the other tube. Final Thoughts: Overall, it's pretty nice for the price and relatively easy to assemble and use. I'd expect to keep some touch up paint available if you use something like this as opposed to a much more expensive solution like the chains for instance that hang your top from the roof of your garage. I would not suggest this if you had a glossy painted top, because this would definitely rough up the clear coat. I have a 4 door JL '21 with a standard black top with no clear coat. I think this product is perfect for that style roof. ... show more

  • Sloppy drill work so parts won't go together. Metal file for grinding inside needed.
The tubes will not fit together. On the inside of the tubes, the drilled holes were not cleanly drilled on either outside arm, and with the metal pushed inwards on the tubes, the arms would not slide into place, so the metal on the inside of the tube stops the arms from going in past the first hole. I will need to grind down or file the inside of the drilled holes down for parts to go together. It was a very sloppy drill job where all they had to was drill a few holes cleanly and file out the inside. The paper says one hour of construction time. Here's how my time was spent: 5 mins was opening the box, and 3 minutes to realize the parts would not go together, then 15 mins of finding a youtube video and watching it to see if I just missed something, and then 5 minutes to find my order on Amazon so I could read others comments, then 5 minutes to leave this review. I am guessing it will take an hour+ tomorrow to file out the inside of all the holes, assuming my Dremel grinder can reach far enough down the tubes and if that doesn't work, then finding a metal file long enough to reach down the tubes to grind out the inside metal debris that protudes within. The picture shows 4 pieces of foam protective tubing, and I only received 3. I will need to go buy double-sided tap to attach the foam tubing to the arms, plus buy more foam to cover the rest of the arms. Also, there is only a single washer for each leg and it really should have one on each side of the tube when installed. The directions are not very clear , the pictures are not clear enough to make out which direction the arms should face... as well, the instructions do not state how the top is put onto the device nor how it should look with the top sitting on it. The youtube video I found showed it clearly at least. I just hope it actually holds the Jeep top and is stable, but I cannot rate that yet. ... show more

  • Fits a YJ top with a wiper blade
It's very light with good casters. One person can move it around without any issue. I had to file off a little powder coating to get it assembled, but it otherwise went together easily. The hardtop from my 94 YJ fits perfectly, with the wiper just clearing the support.

  • Horrendous Quality Control
Screw holes have giant burrs in them and the pipes cannot be joined together. If I can't file these off this thing is useless. Incomprehensible quality control, or lack thereof.

  • Quite Pleased
I'm quite pleased with this cart. Putting it together was pretty easy and I'm able to move it around the garage without any problems. As usual, I read the reviews before I bought it so I knew that the width needed to be at its maximum for my Jeep JL (2 door) roof. I've been using it for the last 3 months so I haven't taken the roof off the cart yet but I don't foresee any problems when the time comes to do so. ... show more

  • Hard to assemble, poorly designed, manufactured, and documented.
This device has a number of issues. In the end, it does work. However, it was a painful journey to put it together. It was HARD, the instructions were bad, and the thing was poorly manufactured. Issues. 1. The list of contents does not match the actual list of contents. I was missing all the lock washers. My foam bumpers didn't match any of the diagrams. There were parts that I didn't use and were not included in the instructions. 2. There are holes that are drilled through the metal tubes in the manufacturing process. The drilling process left metal "spurs". The spurs prevent the pipes from fitting together (one pipe needs to fit inside another pipe). I don't have a lot of tools around the house, so it was REALLY hard to work around these spurs. 3. The device is adjustable for different Jeep models. The instructions cover from year 1997-2020. If you've got a newer model than 2020, you're on your own. There were a few other issues with putting the thing together, but that gives you a taste. ... show more
