I buy things mostly based on reviews. With that said, here we go. First impression was, damn this box is heavy. Item was very well packed. Easy to assemble. Installing was a pretty big task and I do industrial maintenance for a living. It’s very heavy and you’ll need to set it in place and remove it a few times. Have a few friends and some adult beverages if that’s your thing. Worst part is drilling holes in your roof. You will need a rivnut tool. If you don’t have one, Amazon sells them or rent one from an auto parts store. I’d recommend using 1/4”-20 stainless bolts. It will take 8 total. I used 3M Window-Weld Super Fast Urethane to seal the holes. A little pricey but you don’t want this to leak. I did have a problem with there being a wrong part in the box but apparently Hooke Road knew this when it shipped and the correct part arrived the next day. Would’ve been nice to know this ahead of time but it was all good. The powder coating on it is somewhat thin and will probably need to be redone in the future. All that said I’m definitely not dad with my purchase. Hope this helps someone.

Solid pieces, feels strong. The hardware is painted so it makes it really hard to get the bolts started in the rungs of the rack. They didn’t include the Allen key, I think you’re paying for the steel and not follow through on quality control. I had it welded to my roof I wasn’t gonna try and use their hardware. Would buy again, it was cheap and it works.

The rack itself is sturdy enough, but installation was a real pain. There was some minor damage to the light housings, no big deal. The instructions are not super detailed. Make sure you go to great lengths to protect your paint. I was missing hardware and several of the rivet nuts had faulty threads which was super frustrating. It's a fair price but installation is tricky and is missing precision elements. If you're not mechanically inclined DO NOT make this purchase.

Fits on 2017 f150. I had to run the front brackets outside. Low noise when rack is bare. Easy to run lights.

Rack is good for the $ and they don't make other racks for my year if truck. 2011 F150. Install was challenging. Luckily I was familiar with rivnuts. I purchased a tool to assist with the install of these. The roof thickness was too thick for the rivnuts. I had to use a drill with a larger bit to thin out the area the rivnuts went in. Its on and I have traveled with 2 bikes on bike rack and ARB awning and pelican case with recovery gear. So far so good. Havnt tackled the lights that came with it yet.

I'm a competent person and I was ready to weld it to the roof because it's SOOO frustrating to install. It definitely doesn't line up with the hardware for a 2011 f150. UPDATE: Great customer service and puts in the effort to satisfy the customer. That goes a long way with me.

The product does not fit a 2013 SVT Raptor. The mounting brackets sit on top of the roof rain channels. This creates an uneven surface for the nucert fittings which must be used on a flat surface. I now have a truck with a bunch of holes in the roof that will cost me hundreds, if not thousands of dollars to fix because of this piece of garbage product. Making things worse, I tried to contact the manufacturer but they don't take calls and their web page says they will return calls in 2 to work days. Oh, and the installation instructions are terrible. They rely exclusively on pictures that are too small and too dark to interpret properly.
