Rather than him trying to call for me if he needs help with something, the button is with him and the speaker is at my desk. It works great. I didn't use the adhesive option for the button because I didn't want to damage any paint on the front door framework. The volume is sufficient for my large house. But, instructions for removing the button from its mounting to replace its battery are worthless.

I tried to love this doorbell. It never rings. Then I spend an hour or two fiddling with buttons, checking the doorbell ring button, changing volume levels and so on until it finally works only to have it disconnect or lose its mind a day or two later. I like the trumpet ringtone it has built-in. The thing just doesn't work. I never could get it to work correctly and finally just gave up.
