abunda_amazon_reviews Bought this fan primarily for looks. It's very quiet. It doesn't get as much air flowing as my other ceiling fans, even on high. To the people who are having issues installing the fan, the receiver for the remote fits in one direction at the top of the ceiling mount, not shoved into the canopy cover. While my fiance did the heavy lifting for this installation, I had to climb the ladder and show him where to put the receiver as he was trying to shove it in the wrong place as well... the picture in the instructions shows you vaguely where it goes. Remember, it only fits in one way, so if it's not going in the mount, turn it around and try the other way.;;Reviewed in the United States on April 10, 2019;;5.0 out of 5 stars;;Nice looking fan!;;Tara;;;Note, we have installed many fans, we are handy folks who know our way around DIY. THIS IS THE WORST installation process ever. The remote control box is large, and the instructions don't make it clear where it goes. So, you are on your own to force fit it. Once we got past fitting all the components inside a very small space, lots of cursing later we got to the next step and the screw hole was machined poorly. It wouldn't accept the screw. The blade mount assembly came to a full stop,we took this stupid fan down and back in the box it went. Very disappointing because it looks like it would look nice. Got a Hunter instead and had it up in 20 minutes.;;Reviewed in the United States on March 24, 2019;;1.0 out of 5 stars;;Very difficult to put up. Machined holes are faulty.;;Carrie C;;;First off, I installed this by myself, just an average DIY’er. I replaced an old fan with this one. So the wiring was all in tact, just a simple swap. Initially I ordered an open box item, in “very good condition” It was in terrible condition and i ended up sending it back for a brand new one. I didn’t elect to use the fans remote feature because I have a casita wireless fan control and can use it through my smart home which works wayyy better. I can’t believe the amount of negative reviews on the this fan, although some of them come from installing the remote which I cant comment on. One reviewer said he was an electrician for 30+ years and this is the worst fan he’s ever installed, that’s so scary considering i had no issues and don’t have anywhere near the same credentials. The worst part of installing this for me was the fan blades. Being that I did this alone with no help it was the most challenging part. I didn’t try it but I would almost recommend installing them before you put the fan up. Either way pay attention. The design is great and it works great with my setup. One thing to consider is you will need to purchase a separate down rod if your not flush mounting it. There aren’t many choices on amazon for a 12” down rod but I did end up finding one. This was slightly tricky since it wasn’t made by the same manufacturer, i just used old parts off the fan I was replacing. There is plenty of wire to travel through the down rod. It took me about an hour and a half to install by my self with the removal of the old fan and a toddler running around...;;Reviewed in the United States on February 7, 2020;;5.0 out of 5 stars;;Don’t listen to negative reviews.;;Elbow_Grease;;;1). The remote receiver does not fit properly into the canopy cover— the remote unit is so big that the remote receiver and the downrod force the canopy to be off-center, which will make it impossible to install the fan centered.
