I cat sit for my son. Casper was a stray kitten that my son adopted and I estimate her age at just under 1 year so she STILL have a lot of kitten antics in her. I needed something to contain her when I am busy with house chores and not able to keep a close eye on her. So I did a lot of research and finally chose this one. What I liked about it was the solid shelves as opposed to wire shelves that other vendors sold. And the video seemed easy enough for two people to quickly assemble it (took me and my son 10 minutes). What took us longer was measuring, cutting carpet for the ramps and using zip ties to secure carpet pieces to the ramps and one of the shelf. We added the carpet to not only make it more comfortable to walk on ramps but also for scratching. She never liked any scratching post and prefer to scratch on any floor carpet/rug that's on the floors. I added her favorite chair pad to the upper shelf (Velcro secured) . Casper loves this cage and I love her not being able to scratch my sofas, jumping on my dining room table and turning over every waste paper baskets in my house (her favorite thing to do). Pros: Easy to assemble. Have locking wheels which allows movement from place to place or to secure it in place. Large enough to put a stacking storage bin (16 1/4" x 15 1/2" x 11 5/8") that I use as a kitty litter box. She still have room to roam inside and have her favorite toys inside. It came with a cat hammock (she don't like it). No tools needed other than the thin wrench I used to screw on the wheels. Quick shipping. Cons: This thing is very heavy in the box. Instruction and wheels was inside the folded up cage and hard to get to. Written/Picture Instruction manual wasn't as helpful as watching the video. Needed a small, thin adjustable wrench to screw on the wheels. No instructions on how to open the doors. Overall impression: Very satisfied and would recommend the size I got for larger cats or multiple cats and yes, if I had to order this again, I would and maybe will to keep on my back porch for the summer.

Easy to assemble, affordable and portable

Long story short, we ended up a multi cat house. 7 out of 9 are feral rescues. We also have 2 amazing Boxers pups. The crate (it is our third crate) is a great “get away” place that allow cats being unbothered. Shelves are rather narrow, but it works. Cats weren’t big fans of ramps, so I left only one in for smallest kittens to get to the top. Included hammocks, if you have sawing machine, do cats a favor and reinforce them with an additional ties. The original clamps are not able to handle energetic kittens or big 10 lb plus kitties. i know it from experience. I use ties as a primary support for hammocks. Assembly was straight forward and with cats help, I got it up in less than an hour. Shelves and ramps were lined with self adhesive scratch fabric. Bottom level fit a good size foldable cat house, which provided additional beds and hiding areas. On Two out of three crates, I decided not to put wheels on. This one on wheels and very easy to take outside for kitties to enjoy the sun. Also serves as a feeding “station” where dogs cannot get to cats’ food. Overall, I do recommend this crate.

ALMOST contains the uncontainable

I bought this for my two mature ferrets, Riley and Sid. They have superb fluidity and will bend and twist effortlessly to escape containment. They are liquid animals to the fullest extent. This cage is their 'nap castle' and a fun place to climb and jump around. Riley is far more athletic and nimble than Sid. The ramps in this cage are not designed with clumsy or mischievous pets in mind. Both ferrets were very uncomfortable going up the ramps at first and looked even more awkward coming down. In it's bare bones, it looks like a bird cage. Riley is my escape artist and can conquer just about any obstacle. Notice how she demonstrates this by scaling the sides then perching on top demanding rescue. My second issue is, the planks just sit on the external wires of the cage. Riley immediately took the liberty to test the new structure by scooting one of the ramps over. She easily dislodged the anchors and it fell to the ground. I cut up and installed a rug from the dollar store and fastened it to all of the floors with zip ties. They can maneuver the ramps much better now. I also fastened all the planks in place to the external walls so the weren't able to scoot them anymore via zip ties. Riley loves the polk-a-dot hammock that came with it. I have had this cage for months and have encountered no other issues. It functions well and looks nice, weasels are just- well, weasely... BE AWARE: I guarantee a young ferret will be able to fit between these bars. This cage is only suitable for either fat ferrets or ferrets that are allowed to go in and out of the cage at will... Mine have access to a 10'x5' play pen at all times and i do not ever lock them up. Riley is also clearly able to climb these walls. A slim and athletic ferret like Riley WILL be able to escape. Sid on the other hand could be contained in a shoe box.... Be careful choosing this cage. It has worked very well for me with slight modification- but may not be ideal for all weasel owners. Please be responsible and fasten the ramps and give them a cheap carpet to maneuver about. (: Happy weaseling.

Great Option for Older Cats Who Need Some Extra Care!

I got this cage for my cat as he got older and started having problems using the litter box. It’s been a really good solution for keeping him contained while I’m not home, and it’s saved me from major cleanups. It has enough room in the bottom for a normal-sized litter box, which was really important to me. Plus, there’s lots of vertical space for him to climb and explore a bit, so it doesn’t feel like he’s stuck in a tiny cage all day. It’s a much better alternative to smaller cages that wouldn’t give him any room to move around. The door is a good size and opens easily, which makes cleaning and putting in food and water a breeze. It’s sturdy enough to handle his movements and doesn’t feel flimsy at all. The whole cage is surprisingly easy to move around if I need to clean up or shift it somewhere else. Overall, I think it’s a really good value for the money. It’s helped me and my cat out so much, and I’d definitely recommend it if you need a little extra support for an aging pet.

Excellent small foldaway crate

This small cat cage was chosen to fit a specific area while we have company so it is smaller than I would like but is suited to the circumstances and can contain our guard cat. Pros: 1) Small- easy to stow folded and take in a car or set up in a RV or hotel. 2) Excellent emergency cage that can be set up in a small space. 3) Sets up fairly easily though you need to test out the ideal place to put the ledges and ladders for your cat. 4) Has room for a litter pan with easy access from the side door. 5) Hammock- Nice idea to show what is possible. ok for small kittens and ferrets maybe? Suggest a heavier duty hammock for cats. 6) Bottom pan slides out easily for cleaning. Con: 1) Small- not suited to more than one large cat or a few of kittens. 2) It is heavy for out of shape or elderly (but anything lighter wouldn’t be safe for containing your cat) 3) The wire ladder and ledges could be a hazard for kitten legs and the big cats don’t appreciate them either so you will need to cover them or if you weave in sisal rope you have a built in cat scratcher and make it safe for cat toes and kitten legs. 4) The hammock. Forget it. The clips are flimsy and break easily and the stitching is not secure enough for the safety of anything over two pounds! So maybe one sedate ferret or small kitten. The fabric is nice and you might consider re using it for a hammock with new corner tabs and solid hardware. Or use it to cover a ledge where the clips and fabric don’t take the full weight of the cat. But don’t risk your animal’s safety to it without checking it frequently and fixing its deficits. 5) If this cage is knocked over and the bottom pan falls inward the animal can escape through large gaps in the bottom wire. If this is a concern you will need to modify with additional wire over the bottom of the cage.

Tricky to Set Up
A bit of a challenge to set up since there are 2 levels of panels. I put it in its side which made opening much easier. The gate on the end made cleaning the litter box very easy. The visiting cat loved it.

Sturdy and easy to set up

Served its purpose for quarantining two 5-6 month old kittens with ringworm. They were about 5lbs each and had no problem in there for about 3.5 weeks with daily playime. I think that was the upper limit for them though. We had to put in towels and cushions for comfort. It was also large enough for 1 litter box tray and 1 bowl of water. Great, sturdy and easy to set up and move around. Harder to take down though since everything gets locked into each other. Our cats are now 8lbs each and I would definitely not keep them in this cage together for long. Would recommend for smaller cats or 1 cat.

The clips supplies to secure the shelves and ramps are not top quality. They are too short for some of the required fasten points. Had to obtain third party clips to complete assembly and seciure the pieces. Otherwise, the cage is adequate for its designed purpose.
