The fireplace looks great and adds a nice atmosphere to my living room. The easiest way to remove the stickers on the glass is to lay the fireplace down glass side up on a table or something. Put a paper towel over the sticker and pour "Goof Off" or "Goo Gone" on the paper towel so it soaks into it and let it sit for about 15 mins. Simply peel off the sticker. There will be some glue residue on the glass when done, so just clean that off with lighter fluid, then clean the glass with isopropyl alcohol. Your glass will be completely clean with very little effort. ... show more

Read all of the reviews - true, there are many pieces but I worked carefully and put this together with only one mistake, which was easy to correct. It took me 3 hours but was worth the time. The media could not be loaded. Bought this for adding to the Christmas ambience this year. This is a heavy piece so take your time putting it together, took me about an hour and a half. I choose the Homcom over the others because it offered the biggest surface to decorate, plus it is very sturdy.

    • Noisier than expected and there's a massive label on the glass.

The fireplace cabinet is reasonably easy to assemble but be very mindful that some of the diagrams are reversed, so check your parts to make sure you assemble them the correct way around. The little black metal strip that attaches to the back of the cabinet to hold the fireplace in place has flat bottom screws, so it is suggested that you either pre-drill a hole for them each, or use a self tapping screw when fitting this part. As for the dumbly placed label on the fireplace glass, this has to be one of the worst thought out ideas ever. I got very frustrated taking this off and it wasted so much time it was almost equal to the time it took to build the cabinet! Not very clever at all. The fireplace is ok but it is noisier than I thought it would be and it does take a while to feel the warm air. The temperatures are in Centigrade/Celsius, so be prepared to translate if you are not familiar with Celsius. ... show more

    • Not a quality product

Well, this was disappointing and in my opinion not a quality product. The seal, possibly liquid nail, put on the back of the board spread out to the front face of the fireplace. The holes drilled on the boards did not match where the screws were supposed to go in. The wood pegs did not fit and we had to use wood glue so they would stay in place, and we had to re-drill the holes. We have plans to fix this up to make the fireplace actually look nice despite the manufacturers disaster screw ups. We are placing wood molding on the front to cover up the glue, and also to cover up the areas where they missed in some places with the nails, that protruded out on the front of the fireplace. We discovered this while putting it together, so not returning. I was excited to order this, and was so disappointed when we put it together, but we will figure out how to make it look nice. ... show more
