Get ready to make a lot of modifications if you want to hide the wires completely. Once plugged in the cord will hit the back of the unit and it won't be on level. I had to cut the back cover and put it on level(plumb). Other than that looks great, the fire isn't as pictured for sure but still looks nice. Happy overall. ... show more

I absolutely love my faux fireplace. I don’t use it for the heater (although I may in the future). I use it for aesthetics and decoration. It has changed the mood of the room. The remote is a very nice feature. I got a great deal on buying it so I’m happy with the price. The only cons is that it is prone for having small indentions. If you look really hard there are a few very small ones. Also cleaning the residue from the protective plastic covering took a little more time and effort than I was expecting. However it was well worth it. One of the Best Buy’s I done in a while. I love mine! ... show more

    • Don't Even Waste the Time! Flames Look Like A Badly Executed CGI Effect...
Ordered this and was extremely excited to get it to place in a rather plush and "luxury-feel" master suite. I only had it out of the box for about 15 minutes and didn't even bother to take the plastic completely off before I reboxed it for a refund. It is CLEAR that the flame is not real. It looks like some type of cheaply done CGI effect. I only wish that I would have taken some photos or videos of it to post before I reboxed it to return, but I was so disappointed with it that I just couldn't wait to get it back out of my house and to the UPS store. I do NOT recommend this electric fireplace at ALL! The beautiful, realistic flames shown in the pictures on these sites are NOTHING like the actual flame. I almost am wondering if they shot a picture of a REAL flame for the pictures used instead. And the background you see in the photos behind the flames isn't that nice dark grey/black, but a weird maroon/burgundy color, which as you can imagine, adds to the inauthenticity of the flames' look. I will attempt to order another electric LED fireplace and hope it looks more realistic than this one, but I am not getting my hopes up at this point. I spent a good deal of time looking up this and similar items to replace a stand alone heater in my husbands man cave. Some of the reviews made me a little nervous. People must be ridiculously picky. Some said the flame didn't look real. I disagree! This is beautifully designed, adds a touch of elegance even in a man cave. We both love it, and it heats well. The price was fantastic for such a nice product. Would love to add One in my living room also! ... show more
