I got this because I have had 2 Rotator cuff repairs since June and I have had to sleep in my recliner. The cushioning was getting thin and made me uncomfortable. This item has really helped! I couldn’t use the straps on the footrest due to the mechanism but was able to slip the distal strap underneath the edge of the footrest. The seat is very comfortable and has not required much daily adjustment. I think older adults may have difficulty putting down the foot on a manual recliner like mine. My lift recliner leaves a bit to be desired as far as comfort. I wanted a pad for the seat & legs only & this cushion meets those requirements. This pad is just the right thickness for my needs but unfortunately my chair is an off size so it is a bit too long for the seat depth. I am sure it would be great in a standard size chair. I am considering making a small alteration to the seat because it seems to be well made and would definitely improve the comfort of my chair. The price was right and the color is perfect. I bought this for when I am traveling and need more height in a rental condo's recliners for sleeping on trips. Most sit too low for my height. But my personal recliner broke this week and so it is perfect for holding me up higher until I can replace my recliner. It has been a life saver this week!
