These lights exceeded my expectations. They are nothing like a normal solar light, they are bright bright bright!!! I purchased a two pack because I needed a motion light that would turn on when I take the trash out at night. My trash is in a dark corner and I just didn't like the feeling I got when going out there in the dark. This light changed all that. It triggers when I go out every time. You have to get within a pretty close distance but it really works for me. It makes it so I can see everything. Hurts my eyes actually, ha ha. I keep mine on the setting where it only turns on when it detects motion. I also like that it turns on when creatures come through in the night. So far it has alerted me to a cat and racoon several times. I brought the second light in during an all night power outage and put it in one of my bathrooms on the setting that is supposedly dim, haaa. I guess compared to the other settings. It is really bright. It stays on that steady light without motion detection. It stayed on all night long. Impressive!!! I highly recommend these lights. They are functional to the max and look great too. I made sure to share some pictures of how it lights up my area in the pitch dark. It would be nice if the price was slightly lower though. These are bright, they charge even on gloomy days and they're reliable. I put one on the inside of a porch post with removable Velcro strips and I basically can't sneak by it to take put the garbage can at the curb. Bonus -- it lights up when the Amazon delivery person approaches the porch at night! I used magnets to attach another to the outside door to my screened in porch in the back. I can't report on that as no nefarious intruders have been hanging around there at night thus far. I just bought two more, one for over my bedroom window, which I like to leave open overnight sometimes, and the other is TBD. But overall, they're really, really good. ... show more

I wasn’t originally shopping for outdoor lights just for aesthetics, I actually needed something functional to help keep my yard well-lit at night because we’ve had coyotes nearby. These exceeded my expectations in every way. First off, the brightness is impressive. The motion sensor picks up movement quickly and the lights turn on instantly, which is exactly what I was hoping for. It lights up a wide area, not just a small spotlight, so there are no dark corners around my yard anymore. That alone gives me a lot more peace of mind. Installation was incredibly easy! No wiring, no hassle. I had all of them up and running in no time. The solar charging works great too; even after cloudy days, they still perform reliably at night. I put these lights on my fence along my driveway to light up whenever someone entered my driveway. The sensor is very sensitive and will light up before you expect it to. When the lights are fully charged, the brightness is great. During the winter (in Southern Idaho) the lights are dimmer at night due to more cloud coverage, but that is to be expected.
