I have had many garlic presses. Especially the "tride and true" that are so hard to clean. I purchased one that is just a rocker, (it has a bottle opener on one end, don't know why). It works ok, but not terribly comfortable. When I saw this one with the nice sturdy handle, I thought I would give it a try. Actually bought two for gifts. I love it. The handle makes it super easy to press the garlic quickly. I just use a small knife to get the garlic off, it comes off super easy! This press is easy to clean with a dish brush or throw it into the dishwasher. Highly recommend!!!!

Takes a second to figure out how to get whole garlic clove crushed but by rolling and scraping the job gets done quickly. Getting the garlic out I use a butter knife to scrape it off. I find it easier than a garlic press and much easier to clean. My wife has trouble with garlic press because of lack of hand strength and can now mince garlic again.

It is kinda hard to clean the press. And a Silicone peeler are ok to use but it will be better if there's some tread on outside surface. Because when you tried to be use on the smooth surface such as marble top or counter top, it will slip. But it works better than without it. But outside Silicone peeler need to be improved with non-slip surface.

Not as easy as it sounds. Appear to be just holes and not sharpened so you’ll need to roll back and forth over the garlic. You need to be on a solid surface like a cutting board. But there will still be some garlic that doesn’t press. Not anymore difficult to clean than other garlic presses. The rubber sleeve does not do a good job removing the skin off the garlic. I would stick with traditional garlic press if need a lot done.

I have always used a traditional garlic press but this looked pretty so I thought I would try it out. It doesn’t work. Even when I cut the garlic into smaller pieces, the gadget which has a smooth and slippery bottom simply sits on top of the garlic. When I use a rocking motion, the garlic just get pushed around. Then I realized it is because there are no sharp edges at all. The holes are all smooth and rounded. There is no purchase. They do not grip or cut into anything. At best it squashes the garlic. But even to get it to squash, you have to exert quite a lot of pressure as you cannot take advantage of any momentum. Imagine trying to hammer a nail into the wall without lifting the hammer and just rocking it back and forth on the nail head. If the bottom was rough like a grater, it might work. I don’t know if other brands are made differently but this design is definitely useless for crushing garlic

I've had this gadget several weeks and used it twice. We use garlic in our cooking almost every day. It flattens it and the garlic sticks some to the gadget. Easy enough to peel off but then you've only got flatten, ragged garlic. Some does go through the hole through. Just doesn't work for me. Maybe it takes someone with more strength?
