  • A decent product but needs modifications
Size: 9.8'L x 6.6'W x 6.4'H
I bought this to house my ducks and geese. Putting it together was challenging. The frame was a piece of cake, but attaching and cutting the right lengths of wire was tough. Get yourself a buddy to help…doing it by myself took like 6 hours. I would say this is secure against a fox or a raccoon, but it was no match for my ambitious 40lb cattle dog. He broke in twice in the first four days and had a field day herding the birds. The first issue was the door. I installed the latch about halfway down and there was still enough give at the bottom of the door for him to push through, so I secured that with a chain and lock and haven’t had further issues. Today he snapped the wire off the back and slid under. The zip ties that come with it are skinny and not sturdy at all. I bought heavy duty ties and will be reinforcing the whole thing. Also note that predators could dig under the bottom. I placed paving stones the entire way around to discourage digging. I love the overall design, especially the tarp over the top, but plan for making it a little more secure after you assemble it. ... show more

  • Works great, but tarp is thin
Size: 9.8'L x 6.6'W x 6.4'H
We got this for our chickens back in April and it’s a great size for our small flock. It was a two person job to put together and took about 2-3 hours. We live in a windy area and we were afraid it was going to blow away in the wind but the stakes held it in just fine. I give it four stars because after five months the tarp started to get torn up from the smallest things, like birds landing on it. The seller said they would send a new tarp for free, so I’ll update my review when that happens. ... show more

  • Good cage, but some issues
Size: 9.8'L x 19.7'W x6.4'H
This was bought as an extension for my chicken run. Everything arrived on time, packaging was decent. However some of the tubing was bent at the ends. Since they are interlocking, this meant that i had to reshape several tubes to get them to fit at all. Thankfully i took metal shop in high school and had the tools and know how to to do. for someone who didn't and was just planning on putting this together right away, it would not have worked out. Frame assembly was easy and went quickly. The instructions are only pictures, but the parts list has everything in millimeters, i am not opposed to the metric system, but it would have made way more sense to use centimeters. Putting the chicken wire on was a bit of a task. This is likely more due to the site where i built the cage. The instructions for this were not helpful at all. Since i was butting this up against an existing run, i didn't need to put the chicken wire on one end. This left me with extra, so i could afford to get it wrong. I also have concerns about how long the zip ties will last in the long run. But i have covered the top of the cage with a tarp, so that should help minimize sun exposure and get a little more life out of them. Seller reached out to make the issues right. ... show more

  • Wire is very weak
Size: 9.8' L x 13.1' W x 6.4' H
Went up easily enough, chicken wire was a pain, as always. The zipties included are worthless so get a bag of better ones (wal-mart ones are fine). The tarp included is junk too, get a real one. It keeps the birds in, but does not keep the predators out. After losing half our flock in one "break-in", got a roll of thicker gage wire from Tractor Supply to go around the base. It's now serving it's purpose, but be aware that you are basically just buying the frame. The rest requires upgrading. Winter is approaching, will update once we see how it handles snow. ... show more

Installed this with the help of my partner. Took us all day because we needed to flatten the ground and add a "tunnel" of chicken wire to lead to the automatic coop door. It was a process but this has help saved my hens from my neighbor's escape artist of a dog at least once that i know of, and from the marks on the snow, also the neighborhood fox (who had managed to make their way into the coop 3 times before through my previous run). Not only has this kept my girls safe from predators but also from the elements. This has been up since the beginning of the winter season and has survived high winds and at least 15inches of snow from a blizzard. If you're looking for something safe and sturdy this is it. But keep in mind you're going to need at least two people to build this thing. It's not hard, it's just time consuming and not that much fun ... show more

  • Snaps together but it's not a snap after that.
Size: 9.8' L x 13.1' W x 6.4' H
I liked that it snapped together quickly. However securing the wire to the frame is labor intensive. I believe building with lumber from scratch would have been easier. I will not attach the tarp either, it will turn your pen into a hang glider. Over all it's a decent idea and not a bad product. But dont expect it to be quick to finish. ... show more

  • Not for animals that could be Prey
Size: 9.8'L x 6.6'W x 6.4'H
Having just built this, there is no way it is going to keep predators out- raccoons, cats, etc will definitely be able to break into this. The "wire" isn't really wire, it's plastic chicken wire. Anything could break through it. And they send exactly enough to cover it so its not like you can wrap the wire past each pole. It goes barely edge to edge. If you're planning to use it for Chickens/rabbits like I am, probably don't or plan on buying actually wire. Mine didn't come with any instructions but I found a YouTube video, and after some trial and error, was able to get it all together. All the the tubing clicks together and would be easy to take back apart. This frame could be good for a greenhouse if you had a difference covering. Even I'm city neighborhoods, there are predators so I would not trust this much more than as a tractor for Chickens. Everything is held together with zip ties which just feels like a bad idea. ... show more
