We have 4 chickens and 2 ducks who were in need of more space. The frame is sturdy and went together quickly and easily. The chicken wire was enough to cover the entire enclosure with decent overlap with some to spare. Plenty of zip ties as well. Parts were all clearly labeled. The birds love their new home. As others have stated, the product is very easy to assemble. I took my time and assembled it by myself within an hour. The poles are very sturdy, much better quality than I was expecting. I did have problems with delivery, not caused by HITTITE, but rather by Amazon. When I contacted the company they were very quick to respond and were happy to take care of all issues. I would defiantly buy from HITTITE again, but next time I may shop on Amazon, but buy direct from HITTITE. ... show more

    • quality tubing and wire, easy to put together.
Arrived in 3 days in a large, VERY heavy box. The tubing was well finished and burr free, easy to assemble and it becomes rigid once the wire is stretched into place over it. The included 1" hexagonal wire is good quality with a green PVC coating for longevity. Other reviewers claim this wire is cheap and useless, but it is no different than what you would buy at a feed store or Home Depot. A coyote, fox or racoon could probably chew through it, with some effort and a weasel or ring-trail cat could easily get through the 1" hex wiring. To keep out the smaller varmints, I wrapped my enclosure with 1/4 inch galvanized steel cloth and then went 2" beyond cage under the soil to prevent digging underneath. The combination of that, doubled with the 1" hex wire, should keep out any predators, except maybe a bear that could potentially lift up the poles from the bottom so make sure to anchor those down in multiple places with deeply set stakes. An electric wire would be the final step to keep bears away, should they be a problem. Must use steel zip ties instead of supplied plastic zip ties. I used the plastic zip ties to put the fence together and keep in place, while stretching over the corners. Once in place, then I used the stainless steel zip ties (which cost $10 on Amazon for 100 count). The gate area has gaps large enough for a skunk or weasel to squeeze through so make sure to strap in an extra pole to fill the gap, or have some extra hardware cloth to extend beyond the opening area and pin it down with a rod. Overall, this is good quality product and a much better value compared to what you see at Tractor Supply. Predator resistant, but predator proof as it arrives though, but it can be made that way with more reenforcing wire. I expect this enclosure will last for decades. It's well built. ... show more

    • Nice Product and a quick set up
This pin is just right for backyard chickens. When putting the "C" pipes in, be sure to check the way they are put in on the corners . They could be put in upside down or turned the wrong way and the corner pipe will not have the holes in the right direction to install. The size we chose 12x14, is measured to fit on top of 4x4s to stabilize the frame. We screwed the pin frame to the 4x4s, then set a board on the bottom edge of of the wire leaving room to secure the wire later. We rolled the wire over the frame from one side to the other. We put a board on the wire at the bottom to secure later. Then used tie strap securing the wire from the top pipe down the frame to the front lower edge. Then did the same on the other side and then the front and back. We then secured the bottom edge of the wire with a 1x4 on top of the wire and screwed it to the 4x4 frame. The door does have a gap, but my husband cut plywood strips to mount to the frame on the back of the gap. He drilled holes in the pipe and used deck screws to mount it. We mounted ours to the coop (the coop is large.). Leaving the wire off the back of the frame,securing the wire to the wall. We are very pleased with this pin. The pipes are really strong and the wire is equivalent to the 1 inch wire for chicken coops sold at other supply stores. We hope this helps. ... show more

The chicken coop is exactly as described. Easy to put together. We had a few missing pieces but the customer service was excellent and took care of the issue immediately. We would buy this product again.

Bought this to replace our DIY junk run. The instructions were super simple. The parts were all labeled well. I assembled most of this in the garage in about 45 minutes. The snap together posts are fantastic. The wire mesh that comes with the coop was more than enough. Follow those instructions to maximum coverage. There will be some left over. We did not use all the zip ties yet but plan to. This run is so perfect and for a beginner chicken tender or experienced chicken handler. I already feel like we will expand our run someday using this product. ... show more

The assembly for this was super easy. All pieces fit and nothing was damaged. It all snapped into place and went together well. But when it comes to the door, I don't know how they think their little 2 inch latch is going to close and secure the door with a 5 inch Gap between The swinging door and the door frame? I guess now I need to go buy tubing to replace the too Short top and bottom tubes. They need to be 4 1/2 in. longer than what they supplied. I had bought one of these last year but a different brand, went cheaper with this brand and now I need to purchase items to make it work. They also did not supply any self-tapping metal screws to secure the door frame and the door itself. The other brand supplied those screws so I didn't have to worry about the bolts loosening up like I do on this one. Yes it is an easy fix but still disappointing thinking the manufacturer did not notice this Gap? ... show more

I was easily able to assemble the frame in 30 minuets by myself and the picture instructions are easy to follow. I also attached the wire by myself but probably should have at least one helper due to the weight of the wire. Very sturdy material and impressed with the quality for the price.
