Easy to build, a few broken pieces ( during delivery no doubt) but with a little wood glue no problems. Yes the materials are light, I would not expect it to last more than 3 years ( we shall see ) I placed rails along the base to stiffen the whole coop as one unit, making it easier to move around the yard. We bought nesting boxes for the nest box, a water feeder to complete it. We are very happy 🤙🏼 ... show more

This is not worth the money. You would have a better time building a coop out of cardboard. Probably would be more sturdy. The wood was flimsy and split if we so much as sneezed. There is a lot of space around doors and walls making it super drafty. The roof is just two slabs of tar coated rubber that does not go on well and is impossible to make airtight and secure. I would return immediately but we already attempted to build it so some pieces are ruined and all over the place. An absolute disaster. This was money down the drain. ... show more

This coop is the biggest piece of junk I’ve ever had! The roof is NOT waterproof, on the house or on the run, the roof on the run is a material, not solid, and it dips if it rains and drenches the coop and runs into the house, the door to the house won’t close because it swelled from the day of rain we had today (58 degrees). I had to use bungie chords to put them to bed tonight! Absolutely not acceptable!! It’s only large enough for 2 full size chickens. My 5 nine week old chicks have outgrown it. Nobody could have just this for a chicken and feel happy and secure that they were dry and safe. I am so disappointed and angry in the quality for the price. ... show more

It came broken in many areas... It took two people to deliver the HEAVY box, so I don't need to return it, but I would appreciate compensation for having to find someone to fix it.
