Update #2 I started taking half a tablet 4-5 days a week and a full one the rest of the days (or a day that I want to be more focused). Been doing it for 2 weeks and I feel great, no extra sweating or any other issues. I think taking a full tablet every day was too much for me. The easiest way to cut a tablet in half is either using a sharp knife (or front teeth if you’re in a hurry-works!) UPDATE: After 48 hours of stopping it, all the negative effects have subsided. If it’s your first time taking it, be aware of these side effects. ———— I’ve been taking this for 3 weeks now, once a day, each morning before food. I might take it for 1 more week but I think i’ll stop it and maybe take it as needed, due to its negative effects on me. Positive: 1) I did notice that I was able to focus better. I had some work to do and I was able to spend 8-10 hours working on it. I should say, it felt that it was effective from day 1-2, which I found it weird and I’m wondering if there was some placebo effect taking place. Who knows. 2) I also noticed that I was spending less time on my phone. I used to look at my phone constantly and get distracted for hours. 3) It’s a bit easier to get up in the morning and I feel like I have more energy, in general. It has not affected my sleep. It hasn’t made me do things like I wouldn’t normally do (eg it’s not like all of sudden I started cleaning the house every day, working out for hours etc). But I’m just feeling that my batteries are more full throughout day. Negative: 1) It has definitely worsened my libido. Not only that, I’ve also noticed negative physical effects related to that. 2) Sweating. I sweat more than usual. Like, I won’t sweat out of the blue but in situations that I would normally sweat, I’m sweating more. I’ll provide an update in a week or so. If it wasn’t for the negative effects, I would probably continue it for another month to see if the positive effects are truly real and not placebo. ... show more

I like using BACOPA alot! It gives me focus and brain energy.. I wish Himalaya did not increase their prices. Now i am looking for less expensive brands with just as an herb product.

I made the mistake of just reading the reviews of this herb, justresearching what herbalists wrote about its properties. First, I need to say that it definitely helped my focus. However, I had some tough side effects. I started to develop nausea, chronic stomach trouble, and my arteries in my legs ached. It took me a few weeks, but I finally researched the medical world's comments on this herb. Ah! I have a compromised thyroid. The warnings are to NOT take this herb if you are on thyroid medicine. Oops! Second warning: this relaxes the muscles around blood vessels. Oh! No wonder my varicose veins were suddenly throbbing! Normally, they don't bother me at all. Third warning: this can cause stomach trouble, even ulcers. Ok, so bacopa is not for me. If those things don't bother you, it may be for you.
