I bought this in May 2024. In October 2024 my screen cracked while traveling with the tool inside my backpack. Seemed like no big deal -- Hilti has a 1-year wear and tear warranty. But I was unable to register the tool online, so I called Hilti. Hilti checked the serial number and advised the tool was "scrapped," and was required to be destroyed. Instead, someone sold it to me for $485 on Amazon. Hilti's perspective is: 1) Not only does the tool not qualify for Hilti's warranty because it was purchased from a 3rd party (I didn't know that), but 2) Because the tool's serial number is "scrapped," HILTI WILL NOT EVEN REPAIR IT AT MY EXPENSE.     • Highly accurate way of measuring

There is lot of places on my job with what I do. Places that you just can not measure with a traditional measuring tape. Some times it takes 2 people to hold a tape, this laser measuring is highly effective and accurate. I love it. It is expensive but I hope well worth the investment.

Reviewed in the United States on November 15, 2024 by They didn’t fit my 2003 excursion as stated, they should put the spline number in the specs, my truck has a Dana 50 with a 30 spline shaft, these are 35 spline shaft for a Dana 60 , this could of all been avoided now I need to send them back and waste more time

    • Stolen merchandise

Purchased in October and it quit working in November. Tried to have repaired by manufacturer and was told that this is stolen merchandise and therefore not covered under warranty. This seller is selling stolen property. I would not give them even 1 star, but I had to in order to leave this review.

I work alone a lot and this unit makes all my measuring reliable and accurate. It works indoors and outdoors perfectly, you have to get used to really exact measurements, but you can change the accuracy level you need. it does indirect measurements like measuring a roof-line from the ground or measuring a tree height, the applications are endless. I even use it for installing cabinets and doors and windows, i love this tool. I had a problem with my unit after almost one and a half years of hard use and Hilti sent me a prepaid UPS label and i sent it back to them and they sent me a brand new unit within days, great service, and a great tool ... show more
