I've gone through 2 of these devices now. Easy set up. Works good. Then 2 weeks later goes dead. Doesn't do anything. Hoping to get in contact with manufacturer to find out why.

    • does NOT work. dont waste your money
i studied electrical engineering and spent 1 week and countless hours connecting to my shades. nothing worked -- the shades company says you need a Smart Gateway. This connects to WIFI and the App, but does not work to add any smart device I have to it! Not even bulbs. did countless tests.

    • Good ZigBee device, a little tough to install and connect
This is yet another ZigBee gateway device, a great way to connect smart home devices from various manufacturers. It's not the easiest device to connect, partly because there's not much in the way of instruction or support, but once you get it connected it works well and so far hasn't had any glitches. The biggest complaint I've had to date about it isn't really the device's fault; we got into the smart home game early, and wound up with multiple devices that don't talk to each other. The ZigBee standard has made some inroads into solving that problem, as there are so many standards promising to unify all those standards (we love standards, there are so MANY of them). I would love to see a single communications protocol become the "One Ring to Rule Them All" because it's sorely needed in our house. Right now we're picking ZigBee and making sure that we replace our devices with ZigBee-compatible stuff as they fail. Hopefully ZigBee will continue (unlike, say, Wemo, which we also have). ... show more

TUYA ZigBee USB HUB - compact and nicely finished !!! It's nice and compact HUB, since instructions/manual was missing in the box it wasn't straight forward what to do and how to use it. You have to scan QR code and download the manual. Useful HUB a specially if you have same brand devices that you want to control (seems like not easy task without the HUB). ... show more

    • Great for increasing the strenght of your mesh network
This is handy when you have multiple zigbee products and want to extend or get better signal strength in your network. It's lower power and offers a network with better encryption than wifi.

    • Inexpensive Tuya ZigBee hub.
I got this Tuya hub because I have several Tuya/Smart Life smart bulbs, smart plugs, and motion sensors that needs to be paired with a Tuya/Smart Life hub before I can use them in my smart home setup. I was able to set this hub up pretty quickly and easily after reading the instructions and doing some research online. Sometimes when trying to pair one of my Devi to the hub, I’ll get an error or it simply won’t detect the device. But, after a few more tries, it will detect the new device. I’m not sure if this is an issue with the hub or my devices. Everything is working well right now and hopefully it’ll stay that way. I wish I would have jumped in on Zigbee a few years ago... it really is everything that wifi and bluetooth for smart home setup are lacking. I specifically got this because our irrigation system runs on a Zigbee backbone, and this had no problem linking to that. I'm looking forward to seeing what other home integrations I can do now that I'm Zigbee capable. ... show more
