This little clicker is worth the few dollars it costs and it does what it says, control Govee devices. It would be nice to have assistant integrations but that's not within the product description so, fine with me. It suits my need just fine with my other Govee lights.

    • Better then expected
I expected issues but once you get thru the programming it works better then using Google assistant and the app. Program one light to turn on and off with one button and the ceiling light to turn on and off with the other and works like a charm, even if I'm not there with my app and phone.

I had a heck of a time understanding what I was ordering when I started laying out my system, so I want to share my experience to help someone else. If this info helps you, please consider using my Amazon link to purchase your items: https://amzn.to/3NOBFv4 Each button will trigger an "if-then" list of commands that you setup in the app, and it has been very reliable for me so far. You can also enable "Alternate Mode" which will toggle the command state. For example, if you have "Button 1" assigned to a script that turns on 2 lights, if you enable "Alternate Mode" it will turn them off with a second press. So you can assign two unique scripts or lists of actions to this switch. I saw other reviews that said you had to assign one button for "on" and the other for "off." That is incorrect. In order to use this switch--or "sensor" as Govee calls it--you need a device that contains the Govee Distributed Gateway technology. There are a good number of items that contain a distributed gateway, and Govee lists them all on their page. What I ended up doing was ordering a H5083 smart plug set (https://amzn.to/44ng4ke). You only need one smart plug to establish the gateway, but obviously the more you have throughout your house the strong the Distributed Gateway signal will be. **Pro tip: If your plug fails to create the Distributed Gateway after adding the plug to your Govee account, delete the device from the account, pull the plug, wait 10 seconds, plug it back in, and readd the plug to your account. I had to do this 2 or 3 times until mine was established. Thankfully you only have to do this once. Now that you have a Govee Distributed Gateway established, you should be aware that the only devices that I could personally get to work with the distributed gateway were Wi-Fi capable devices that support Alexa. So for example, instead of buying the bluetooth kit (https://amzn.to/3OeBta0) you should get the Wi-Fi one (https://amzn.to/3XRkLQQ). I figured this out the hard way and wasted a good bit of money doing it. So learn from my mistake and save time and money. I had originally figured I could connect bluetooth devices to the Distributed Gateway, but that was not the case in my experience and I couldn't find any information on it online. So just get a Govee device that supports Wi-Fi and Alexa and you will be good to go. Overall I like the Govee ecosystem and have made them my go to for RGB strips and lighting needs. They integrate well with Google Home, but I haven't explored using Home Assistant with them yet. I hope this review helped you in some way. Can’t go wrong with Govee. I’ve never had an issue with any of their stuff and I have over 100 items with them. Easy to install on the app. I love how it shows the battery level. I mean sometimes you have to push the button a second time with a little bit of a delay but it is sending a signal and it’s not hard wired with smart bulbs! So can’t complaint. Comes with 3M adhesive and these are really good price! I love it so much I bought 3 of them. So I’d say worth it. You can also custom exactly what you want the button to do with the action so “Have the lights turn on 100 percent on color white” or something. So pretty easy, works well.     • The idea has merit.....
I liked the idea of being able to use the Govee lights without internet connection because I am in a rural location and the internet is not the most reliable. I didn't want to have to fumble with an app and would rather a device anyone can use. Enter this device... except.... its super unreliable as well. So, while it will work you end up fumbling with it just to get the lights on. Would I buy it again knowing this .... probably not. ... show more

I really like this two button device for Govee products. It was very easy to program with the Govee app. I have my TV camera system synced to two light bars, TV back light, and 4 led light bulbs. I have the first button programed to turn on the TV camera light (I also have the TV camera light automatically turning on the other lights mentioned above). The second button i have programed to just turn on two led light bulbs at the same time. It works great. ... show more

    • Be advised of the Distributed Gateway
I am new to Govee, I only bought the table lamp a year ago. I did not realize this remote only worked if you had a distributed gateway. The table lamp is not able to be a gateway even though its Wifi/BT. Thankfully, I also bought a Govee LED Bulb which is capable of being a gateway. Also, the buttons on the remote can only perform one command. Toggling the power is not an option so on/off will occupy two buttons. Fortunately, you can associate multiple commands with a single button. (ex. turning multiple lights on at once) ... show more
