This is a small puck-shaped camera with a magnetic back, so I set it on a shelf in the living room to keep an eye on our dog while we are out — it sticks to anything metal and otherwise just sits on a flat surface. Setup ran through the app on Wi-Fi: name the camera, point it where I want, and the live view came up on my phone. The 1080p image is clear enough to see across the room, and the infrared night vision fills in when the lights are off so I can check the room in the dark. The PIR motion alert sends a notification when something moves into frame, which is what I actually use it for during the day. As with any small Wi-Fi camera the stream quality leans on your network — mine is strong and it stayed steady. For keeping an eye on a pet and a room while I am away, it has done exactly what I wanted.
