  • water for bees
Color: BLUE
easy way to get water to my honey bees

  • Innovative, easy to use and clean pollinator watering system. Innovative, easy to use and clean pollinator watering system.
I’m always on the lookout for ways to water bees. Often, the dishes, baths, or platters I put out for them also get used by raccoons, squirrels, or birds, which make a mess or empty them too quickly. This unique landing pad system that connects to a standard, wide-mouthed mason jar is the perfect solution. The water fills little channels in the silicon landing pad, which gives them a safe place to land and drink without fear of drowning (another common problem in bowl systems). The channels are small enough that only bees and other pollinators can drink, not birds or larger animals. I love that it’sa standard mason jar that the pads integrate into, meaning I can keep a rotation going of clean ones, and not rely on some specialty bottle instead. The silicon pads can also be put in the dishwasher for cleaning. A word of caution- make sure you’re outside when you flip the bottle over to fill the pad, as it sometimes releases water and splashes. ... show more

Nice idea, too bad it doesn't work. The bottom that the jar sits on is very flimsy. If the ground is not 100% level the water runs out the low side. I even tried sitting it on top of a brick with the same problem, the water drains out in less than a few minutes.

  • Clever Bee Watering Station That Actually Works
This is such a clever little garden gadget—one of those “why didn’t I think of that?” kinds of products. It fits perfectly on standard wide-mouth mason jars, both pint and quart sizes. You simply fill the jar with water, attach the silicone feeder top, flip it over, and instantly have a bee watering station. I currently have one in my kitchen garden and another tucked into my raised bed near the bok choy, and I absolutely love watching the bees use them. While I’m out gardening, I regularly see bees land for a drink and then head right back to the flowers. It’s such a simple thing, but it’s really satisfying to know I’m helping support pollinators—especially since we’ve already had some very hot days here in the Pacific Northwest. The silicone material feels thick and durable, and it’s easy to put on and remove from the jars. The bright yellow color also seems to help attract bees. The stations are easy to refill and look like they’ll be simple to clean as well. I’m so happy with these that I’m planning to buy another set for the backyard, where we have lots of bumblebees visiting throughout the summer. Overall, this is a thoughtful, practical little product for anyone who gardens and wants to support bees and other pollinators. ... show more

  • 🐝 Watering Stations 🐝 Watering Stations
These are great little 🐝 watering stations. You get the 2 neon yellow/green silicone bases. The glass containers 🫙 are NOT included, so just be aware of that. Any wide mouth mason jar works well. You simply put your sugar water into the jar and place it where you’d like. We put it near our raised garden beds, in hopes of attracting the pollinators to that area. They do come hang out, but it seems like the ants have been enjoying it FAR more, unfortunately. 😩 lol The silicone is nice. It makes it easy to attach to the jar/container and easy to remove. I love anything silicone because it’s also SUPER easy to clean. You also get TWO for the price. I really do love them. I’m just hoping that more bees find interest than season. We really don’t need all the ants hanging around. lol ... show more

  • Works as intended! Works as intended!
Summary: I chose this product to help keep my bees hydrated. This is also a great way to feed sugar water. The product is made of a soft, flexible silicone. The grooves are shallow to avoid drowning. I like that it can accommodate different sized mason jars. In my pic, I show it with a purple mason jar (i.e. it is not dirty). This product actually does what it should do and does not overflow, as long as you have the mason jar seated properly. For the price, these are great! I would recommend this item. Pros: - Durable, flexible silicone - Fits different mason jar sizes - Does not overflow - Works as intended Cons: - So far there are no negatives / cons TIPS and TRICKS: When you flip the jar and feeder over, it can make a mess. You may wish to use a plate or something flat to minimize the mess. I filled the jar first, placed the bee waterer on top securely, then set a plate on top. Hold the whole thing securely, making sure to keep the plate and bee waterer securely to the jar, then flip it over and set it down. ... show more

  • Easy Way to Provide Water to Our Pollinators Easy Way to Provide Water to Our Pollinators
These bee watering stations are a fantastic addition to any garden! The soft, honeycomb-patterned base lets water from the jar seep into the gridlines, giving bees plenty of dry spots to land on and drink safely. The flexible silicone material attaches easily to either a wide-mouth or standard-size canning jar. Both pint and quart sizes fit snugly onto the bright green base, so the water only comes out as needed. The bright green color will catch the bees' attention, and it's easy to tuck into any flat spot in your garden. The silicone is super easy to clean, just rinse it off or pop it in the dishwasher. Being able to attach a full jar of water will keep the bees happy for days, without making daily work for you, plus it's simple to remove the jar, refill and reattach in minutes. Our pollinators really need all the help they can get, so at less that $13 for a set of two, it's a great deal and a simple way to support our bees and our environment. Just a heads up: please don't feed bees sugar water regularly! Sugar water is a quick energy boost for a stressed bee, but for the most part, fill these water stations with plain water only. ... show more

  • Easy to clean bright honeybee watering stations Easy to clean bright honeybee watering stations
Great watering station for bees. These are silicone so are flexible and easy to clean. The holes are very small so bees can't get back into the jar if you choose to feed using sugar water. The design allows for the use of wide mouth or regular mouth canning jars. The water flows out to the edges of the hex design to allow for more surface area for the bees to drink. I like the bright yellow color so it can attract bees to it. When you flip it over some water can come out so don't flip it until you are outside. They need to be level so water doesn't all drain out of one side. ... show more
