I was somewhat worried after reading the other reviews (after purchasing the chair 🙂) but it came in yesterday and I have to say I am happy with my purchase. The chair looks practically new and I believe most of the parts are brand new. It also came with the allen wrench for the 4 screws. My only negative comment is the way it was packed in the shipping box. My chair arrived with a small scratch at the back. The chair can easily be damaged if the box is not handled properly. Consider adding a 1"or 2" polystyrene sheet in the bottom of the box for extra protection! Overall, I am very happy with this purchase!!! ... show more

Screw broke on the seat at work causing the support to give . Although I had a sense of humor about it , still embarrassing. but before that it was comfortable and I have back problems .

The adjustments do not work and the chair constantly sinks regardless of adjustment. The cover was cracked and clearly this was a used item. Buyer beware.

The media could not be loaded. the chair came broken and faulty, the mechanism was broken and it does not work. now they tell me to return it, but the mail does not accept it in such a video. can't be disassembled without special tools.

    • Better late than never.
First of all, the robust shipping carton and ample interior padding safeguarded the chair against any damage. Though said to be renewed I believe a new chair could not look any better. I especially appreciate the forward tilt function as it takes pressure off the back of my knees. I have had many office chairs and only once before have I felt that pressure gone. Of course it was a Herman Miller Aeron chair another urged me to use for a day. At first use the hard side edges were bothersome, but I had learned on other chairs to spread my legs wide to lean forward and carried that habit to this HM. I have relearned to sit upright with my feet flat on the floor using the forward tilt mechanism with good posture. A side benefit is no backache from sitting an entire work day. The seat felt firm compared to my recliner like "executive chair" but some firmness is acceptable when there are no tired bones at the end of the day. The comfort I feel now is better late than never. ... show more
