  • Excellent fit.
Size: Fit For Subaru Ascent 2019-2026
The cross bars fit a 2026 Subaru Ascent like a factory part. I really appreciate how sturdy and high-quality these bars are, along with the clamps and mounting posts. They are made of rounded, curved aluminum bars for both front and rear bars that look very sporty. The installation was about 30 minutes and that was me being very careful not to nick any paint or surface. ... show more

  • Sturdy crossbars for my Ascent
Size: Fit For Subaru Ascent 2019-2026
They definitely feel solid, with a sturdy, heavy-duty feel. I was worried they’d be some flimsy, cheap plastic thing, but these are a significant step up from that. If you’re planning on hauling heavy gear—like a big luggage carrier or two kayaks—the 260 lb limit feels believable because the bars themselves are robust. The installation was genuinely simple. It took me maybe 20 minutes, mostly just getting the measurements right and making sure they were centered. They use this clamp system (the "Power Grip" they mention) that just locks right onto the factory side rails, and all the necessary bolts and stuff were in the box. I didn't need any weird tools. There is also little to no noise. This is always the risk with crossbars—that annoying whistle or humming that drives you crazy on the highway. These are surprisingly quiet. No rattling or whistling at all. The rubber strip they include to seal the gap between the bar and the rail seems to do its job, keeping things tight and quiet. I’ve used them a few times now to haul my fishing kayak and a big rooftop cargo box, and they hold everything securely. The locking mechanism is simple and just adds a little peace of mind. For the price, they feel like a great deal compared to the much higher-priced OEM alternatives, and they do exactly what they're supposed to without fuss. Definitely recommend them if you’re looking for a practical, sturdy option for your Ascent. ... show more

  • Definitely worth buying
Size: Fit For Subaru Ascent 2019-2026
These roof racks are a good purchase. They are very sturdy and easy to install. I had to do some minor adjustments to the rubber part to allow it to seat properly on my running bars(had to shave some of the rubber off), not a big deal. I would definitely recommend these racks.

  • 2 hours of frustration
Size: Fit For Subaru Ascent 2019-2026
Initially at the unboxing, this looked like it was going to be high quality and was super impressed by the locks. I liked it was assembled so you know how it’s supposed to go together. Following the directions, something wasn’t fitting quite right. As it was getting dark and the Ascent roof is so high, I got the flashlight and step ladder to investigate. The stock rail, clamp, and mount with the backing plate interfere. Nothing will fully seat together. If I leave off the inboard backing plate, it will securely clamp. So in that aspect, it is useable. It just isn’t a clean look or fit as it was intended. It’s almost like the rubber is too thick for this application. I hope the fitment can be fixed because the product has much promise. ... show more

  • Strong build and secure fit
Size: Fit For Subaru Ascent 2019-2026
The aluminum cross bars feel solid and lock firmly in place on the Ascent’s side rails. The finish is clean, and the bars stay stable with no rattling or vibration at highway speeds. Handles gear like kayaks and luggage confidently. A dependable option for expanding rooftop carrying capacity.

  • Adds extra storage space
Size: Fit for forester 2009-2013
Roof racks are easy for many people to use. Pay attention to which bar is front vs back as it isn't necessarily intuitive, but they go on pretty easily and without tools. Pair up with a hard or soft storage bag & a pad to go underneath it. Driving with rails on all the time can make some extra noise in the highway as it slides the air - not a lot, but this is common to using rails on any car. You get used to it quick and just turn up the radio an extra click for the first week or two. You can also take them it and store them easily if you don't plan to use them often. These will hold a good amount of weight - think 4-5 big suitcases as far as weight, which is much bigger than your roof will handle for size. It could handle a dressed deer as well, on the higher end. So if should be fine for most cases. ... show more

  • Solid set of bars, but why do you need three different tools to put this together?
Size: Fit for forester 2009-2013
I just bought my Forester a couple of months ago, and being that it's my first Subaru and SUV-type car, I have a few things to learn about the accessories for my car. The cross bars themselves are sturdy and the end caps fit securely onto the ends of the bars. Once I read through the instructions and could visualize how these are attached to the roof rack, installing them was an easy task. Maybe there is a purpose that I'm not aware of yet, but it takes three separate tools to put these bars onto a roof rack, not including the key to lock the bars into place. For me, that's three separate tools that I need to keep together and keep track of if I need to remove the cross bars at some point. Seems slightly excessive, but there might be a specific reason for this that I'm not aware of. ... show more

I recently installed the HEKA 260lbs roof racks cross bars on my Subaru Forester (2009-2013 model), and they've made a world of difference for my outdoor adventures. Made from all-aluminum, these cross bars are not only sturdy but also lightweight, providing a reliable solution for transporting various gear like luggage, kayaks, bikes, and even surfboards. The installation process was straightforward, thanks to the lockable design that fits snugly with the side rails. I appreciate the added security feature, ensuring that everything stays in place during transit. The sleek black finish complements the look of my Forester, adding a touch of style while being highly functional. With a weight capacity of 260lbs, these roof racks have been perfect for all my travel needs, whether heading to the beach or embarking on a camping trip. They provide the flexibility I need to carry extra gear without compromising on vehicle space. Overall, these cross bars have been a fantastic addition, enhancing both the utility and appearance of my Subaru Forester. ... show more
