    • Good quality and value cross bars for roof rack rails
These were easy to install and appear to be well made and stable. They were easy to adjust to the exact width needed. I liked the rubber gaskets that went between the cross bar mounts and the side rails. They look great on my Highlander and will provide extra storage capacity when needed.

    • Very good product and very good value
I installed, so I do not have a track record carrying items on my roof. I went heavy duty as I thought the standard 160 lbs may not be enough in some cases and the additional cost was small for the added sturdiness. I am glad I did. However, these stand above the roof by about 6 inches. I do not like this appearance as much as the roof with no rack. Generally, installation was very intuitive and easy. All parts were included and the rack went on quickly. Maybe a total of 30 minutes. At the end of installation, I needed to install a plastic boot at each end. There is a locking twist bolt that secured the plastic boot. It was necessary for me to use a c-clamp to pull the plastic bracket tight enough to turn the locking bolt. It is possible, another may have a different solution. I am looking forward to attaching a ski rack and many other potential uses. 2/28/23 I have had the rack for several months now. I took a trip to Denver w a ski rack attached to the roof rack. 800 miles each way w four sets of skis. I have also used the rack several times around home to haul skis to local resorts. I am very please w the sturdiness and structure of the rack. I would tend to give the rack a 4.5 at this time. Some concerns: I think it will be difficult to take off. Ascetically it is not as nice as 'no rack' but I need the rack, it is very functional, very sturdy, aerodynamic, and reasonably attractive. I would buy again for sure. ... show more

    • Great product and easy install
Earlier in the year, I bought a rack from a different provider and it was a terrible experience. I was nervous about buying another one online but this provider was great. The instructions were very clear and all the items were clearly marked. You have to be careful to get everything pointed in the right direction for everything to fit properly. This seller has much better instructions than the prior seller I tried to purchase from. The install took 20 minutes but it was easy. It feels sturdy and I particularly like the locking mechanism on the covers. That's the main reason I selected this particular product. The other sellers have covers that clip on and that's part of the problem I had with the previous purchase from a different seller. The covers on this product are much easier to install and secure with the key. Overall I'm glad I took another chance on buying roof racks online. I would definitely buy from this seller again. While I didn't have to reach out to the seller, the organization of the product and instructions make me think that they would be very helpful if I needed support. ... show more

    • Good product & easy to install
I chose this over numerous others that were cheaper; because, I wanted the thicker/heavier construction and the locking covers (to minimize risk of coming off in a car wash or from wind). I haven't stood on it, but the rails are solid / rigid (no flexing when you twist on them). You can put this together w/o reading the instructions, but I do read them and appreciated the torque specs for bolting the bracket to the car rails. Instructions are 95% clear. Actually much better than most no-name products. I attached this to a 2017 Highlander XLE, and I did not encounter any problems during installation. All pieces were packaged in bubble wrap and arrived on schedule. The top of the rail is approximately 4.0" above the roof when installed. My measurement was at the center of the car/rail, but I say approximately; because, the rails are arched and slightly shorter near the sides of the car where they attach to the car. The clearance under the rail (so you can bolt on a cargo box, kayak rack, etc.) is approximately 3.5" (again ... arched rails). ... show more

    • Back bar just fell off while driving due to very week install anchor hooks
The hooks this roof rack uses to anchor are torqued to 8 nm. I have a torque wrench. This is not a high torque at all but the cheap metal hooks would literally bend before reaching torque. I never ended up trusting the track with my bike and good think I didn’t because after 4 months with the rack, the back bar literally just fell off while driving. The rest of the rack seeks somewhat sturdy but the 4 hooks to anchor the rack to the car are HORRIBLE and WEAK. DO BOT BUY THIS RACK IF YOU PLAN ON USING IT. YOU ARE BUYING A LIABILITY ON THE ROAD. Definitely not rated to 220 lbs. It just fell off using its own weight. ... show more

We've had these on our Highlander for a few years now and they are doing great. When you first take them out of the box they seem a little under engineered, but once they are installed, each bar and it's components become one unit and it is very strong. We put a cargo box on this all the time with quite a bit of weight in it. It's held up fantastically. The install was pretty easy to. Highly recommend this. ... show more
