I ordered a king for a new bed and the boards took 10 seconds to pull out of the box, unfold and lay on the platform. The boards are sewn into a heavy duty material with silicone grip on one side. They are thin but sturdy and basically invisible with the mattress on top. They definitely provide additional support to the mattress which in turn gives you more support. I didn't have a bunkie board on my last metal platform which seemed to contribute to break down of my old mattress, so I'm hoping this will extend the life of the new one.

This product does exactly whats needed. I got a metal plaform for our king size bed and i hated the way the mattress squished between the bars and wires. This was easy to install and came folded up so i could maneuver it into our bedroom with no issues. After a few weeks of daily use. It is fantastic. It does not slide around thanks to the grippy backing and it provides a solid surface for the mattress to sit on. It also improved the support of the mattress greatly. The only reason for 4 stars is it is a little bit short for the frame. Maybe about an inch or 2. But it supports the mattress just fine

We have a king bed, and for the king, this comes as two separate pieces (head and foot halves), that are each folded into thirds. You unfold each half and then snug them up end-to-end to cover the entire frame. Size is true, pieces are square, and they snug up nicely. This is not a frame covered in fabric, it's solid boards covered in fabric, so there's nowhere for the mattress to sag if you get one of these. It costs a bit more than I wanted to pay, but after receiving this, I honestly don't know that I could make this for what I paid. It's well-made. If you have 1/2" plywood under your bed, this is at least as stiff, doesn't move, doesn't slide, and doesn't give you slivers if you try to move it without gloves. In other words, if you're planning on using plywood, just get this, and you'll always have it as long as you have a bed the same size. To be clear, this is something you will keep. SIDE NOTE: If you have a hybrid memory foam/spring mattress and it's not as comfortable as you thought it would be, and you have a base that isn't solid all the way across, I would try one of these. I thought our last setup was good enough (with narrow gaps between slats), but it wasn't. I don't know if the springs get skewed or whatever, but our mattress is noticeably more comfortable with this as the base.

The bunkie boards were easy to set up for our king size bed. Our bedframe has wooden slats and the original bunkie boards we were sold made so much noise with any movement. These stay in place, are thin but sturdy, and make zero noise. Overall, worth every penny.

My mattress is only 4 years old but was sagging in the middle. Every morning I would wake up with back pain and a low grade headache. It sits on a metal platform frame and it was mushing through the slats. I'm not a heavy person. I was so annoyed because I paid over $1000 for this mattress and thought it was just garbage. Shopped around and landed on this bunkie board. Made the mattress feel new again. It's lightweight, sturdy, and easy to install. I would definitely recommend!
