  • Outstanding Purchase, luxury treat!
Very HAPPY! I researched these types of portable saunas and ordered this reasonably priced FAR infrared type. Pros: high quality appearance - better than expected, more like great looking camping gear; wouldn't mind leaving it up in my guest room. Like the double sided insulated walls - the exterior does not get hot to the touch, which is nice when you have your cell or anything else in the exterior pocket. Good design with the hand zip holes and neck collar, keeps heat in well. Love the fact that the head stays out while getting the benefits of the sauna. Four inside heating panels are large, 26"x11" which cover from about ankle to neck when sitting in there. Also the panels are covered with a mesh type lining. SUPER easy set up, literally one minute. Simply "pop" up into place, no assembly - internal frame is pre-installed. Heats up quickly, could feel the heat within a minute. Relaxing for sure; could lean head back in the slouch type chair and even use a small pillow if wanted. Chair is strong and sturdy, though takes up the majority of the room inside. I draped a towel over the chair seat and arms to catch sweat and avoid wipe down each time. Cons: I'm 5'5 with long legs, and sit very comfortably in there. But a very tall or especially long legged person might be cramped. The front of the 'tent' could be more firmly structure to feel like there's more leg room. Not a big issue. I also checked the EMF with my meter. Recorded 3.5mG inside. Saw a review that stated super high reading, so bought an EMF tester. EF is a lot different than MF; EF will be high as all electrical items emit energy. MF as I understand is the important reading for health. I'll post an update after I become better familiar with the readings. OVERALL, very satisfied and would purchase this again, will likely gift at Christmas. ... show more

  • Solid, functional unit. ChatGPT's selection!
I actually assigned ChatGPT to identify the best dry sauna, and this was its pick. This one can get up to 150 degrees F. It has an automatic timer/shut off, so safe. I can watch TV while in the unit. It is silent. The little hand zip slots are handy for accessing a phone, remote control, and device control - without letting all the hot air out. I do not sweat right away - I assume my sweat evaporates, and fills the air inside the unit, and I sweat once the vapor pressure is too high. The device set up easily. It is solid, with strong zippers and heat-retaining walls. If you lean back too much your back will hit a heating element -not causing a burn, but pretty hot. ... show more

  • High value, good quality portable sauna, but with chair problem
This is the second time I purchased a portable dry sauna. The first one lasted for 12 years, was used hundreds of times and was discarded due to the plastic cardboard structure losing it stability. This new sauna is upgraded with more infrared panels and some structural improvements. This Heat Wave sauna is larger and cheaper than most and well made, but with one minor problem. The fabric strip along back of the provided chair is too slack resulting in too much of an angled position which throws off the alignment of my head with the neck hole. Someone else also commented about the hole not lining up. Instead, I use a small upright chair with a straight back and it works perfectly. A stool would work, too, if you don’t need back support. I prefer the support because it allows me to be in a more relaxed position rather than holding my back upright. The chair that it came with could be used for camping or in the yard so it’s not a loss. This sauna has a nice upgrade with two removable collars (one extra) that can be unzipped and washed. I usually wrap an extra large but thin beach towel around my neck to help catch sweat and to seal the hole better for maximum heat retention. I also put another towel over the chair to catch sweat though it’s easy enough to wipe it off the bottom foam liner. Highly recommended with the minor caveat of the chair. I like the extra few inches of internal space of the the larger size. However, if you are 6 ft and over these head out portable saunas are going to be small even with the larger size models like this one. ... show more

  • Great portable infrared sauna!
I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this product! I purchased this portable sauna back in October 2017 and wanted to fully experience the product before writing a review. I had been researching portable saunas for about a month last year and purchased this portable sauna (deluxe version) from Radiant Sauna. Let me first commend the company for a amazing and durable product. No matter your living accommodations, this portable sauna is going to work for you. First, when the box was delivered I was slightly intimidated by the size of the box but once you open it up, it is a such a quick set up. Once you're done - you let it dry, wipe it down and can fold it back up for easy storage. This deluxe version is excellent because it has infrared panels on back, left and right side which provides for excellent heat distribution. It comes with a controller that includes settings for heat and a timer. It comes with a sturdy chair and foot pad that also heats up. This products provides amazing detoxification - you're going to sweat like you were in a larger sauna. It gets hot! If you're starting your health journey or already knowledgeable about the extreme benefits of infrared saunas - you're not going to regret this purchase. This has literally been one of my best purchases on Amazon and thankful to those who provided great reviews. With that said, I had to make sure to write my own because of how this product has contributed to my own health. No need to drive somewhere, pay membership fees, etc. - you can get this health benefit right in the privacy of your own home. ... show more

  • Works Great So Far
My portable Sauna was delivered this week (sooner than expected) and after putting it where I wanted it, have used it several times. I let it warm up for about 5-10 min. Set it on 150° and 30 min, but added to it after about 15 minutes. I don't think it got to 150°, but it was plenty hot enough for me to sweat a lot, head and all. It helped my neck, back and shoulder pains go away for awhile. I've been going to my Dr's Infrared Sauna for quite awhile now-on my 17th time and up to 45-55 min @ 135°, sometimes 140°. 150° is just a little too hot for me, so even if this one doesn't get there, it's perfect. So, my new portable sauna in comparison to the professional sauna at the Dr's Wellness Office, is pretty much the same experience so far. With the exception of: CONS: 1. not as much room as the wooden ones (nor is it expected to be) 2. not as much privacy, with phone ringing or my dogs barking. lol PROS: 1. I can use it anytime I want or need to. 2. Able to shower immediately after, to wash away those toxins! 3. The cost is about what I've paid for 8 visits to the Prof. Infrared Sauna. (I bought the "Used - Very Good Condition - Item will come in original packaging. Packaging will be damaged" one from Amazon for about $40 less that the price listed here.....didn't see any damage to the package and it did not look used) 4. Doesn't take up too much room and I can take it with me if I go out of town. (driving of course) I'm really glad I made this purchase and got the over sized one. If my opinion changes, I will certainly put in another review. ... show more

  • PERFECT PRODUCT FOR PRICE!
I can't believe this thing exists. Amazing sauna. Ridiculously good price for what you're getting. I'm able to get the experience and cardiovascular benefits of an industrial gym sauna... from my STORAGE ROOM lol. I have lost so much fat and gained so much cardiovascular ability, just using this one to two times a day for a couple weeks. I play basketball and usually have really bad conditioning; after using this, I'm playing like I did a decade ago. It's not a miracle cure, but studies have shown that 30 minutes of sauna can be a substitute for the equivalent in moderate cardiovascular exercise, in both cardiovascular function and calorie burning. If you're like me and have a hard time doing cardio, this helps. Who doesn't like to burn calories while watching TV shows? It's also very meditative for me. Here are some pro tips that have helped me with this excellent product: 1.) I preheat for 15 minutes, but it honestly does most of the heating in 5 minutes. Incredible, efficient tech. Infrared Tech is amazing. Barely uses electricity, too. After preheating, make sure to turn the time back to the desired time, as it only does 30 minutes at a time, Max. Add time, as needed, before it runs out. 2.) I put a towel on the chair (it comes with a nice chair), and another towel on the ground where you put your feet. This prevents excess sweat from getting all over the sauna. 3.) wrap a towel around your neck, THEN zip up the sauna. This will allow it to hit the advertised 150°, maybe more at times. Also, don't use the arm holes EVER, unless you need to check the time real quick. All those things allow the heat to escape. BE REALISTIC. This thing won't hit 150° if you're opening it. I've check with a thermometer, and it definitely can hit 150° if you're doing these things right. 4.) make sure to hydrate before and after and take electrolytes if you use it excessively, like me. Just common sauna knowledge. ... show more

  • CRAVE MY SAUNA TIME!!
I waiting to review my new portable sauna until I had it a while. I've had it for four months now and use it every two to three days. I have a history of Epstein Barr and Lyme Disease. While they are both under control with alternative healing methods and sound frequencies, I still wanted another healthy way to detox. And, since I live in a colder climate the idea of feeling warm was appealing to me as well. So far, I crave my sauna and are able to get in thirty minutes every two or three days at the least. I ramped up doing less heat and less time and slowly built up to 151 degrees and thirty minutes. Doing it slowly is healthier for your body and I had no negative reactions at all. Plus I'm good about drinking fluids before and after. I'm writing this at the time of the Coronavirus breakout and I don't know for sure, but what I've read on the infrared sauna websites, this sauna will heat up enough to kill virus and bacteria and this is a positive thing at this time. One more way to assure your better health. In order to do that, I've read you have to use it at least every three days. So, long story short, I love it. It feels so good to be warm in the cold weather days and the bonus for me is it is helping me fight off infection and detoxify. So worth the purchase price. The only drawback for me is the camping chair is not very supportive or my lumbar which is sore most of the time. So I roll up a big towel and put it at the back of the chair and use good posture for the thirty minutes I'm in there, and it's all good. ... show more

  • Really bad smell of plastic left eyes and throat irritated
I was excited when I ordered this personal sauna bc it looks like it is higher quality compared to others. The tent materials and chair are nicely made. The zipper is higher quality than others I've seen. Thr chair is nice and big. The issue is the smell that this sauna gives off both when in use and not. It was so bad when I used it that it irritated my eyes and throat and made me feel unwell for the rest of the day. If the point of these personal saunas is to detox, it makes no sense that the materials used to make it are actually causing a toxic reaction. I thought maybe it would get better after the first use, but it did not. I saw that some other reviewers also noted the same issue. Unfortunately I have to return this sauna as it makes me feel so unwell when I use it. ... show more
