Bought these for my two elementary aged daughters. Even remote starting the car during the winter months doesn't always heat the car enough for the kids. These blankets add the extra warmth they need on the short ride to school. Only negative is that the fabric can't be removed to be washed. I bought another 12 V blanket not working that well not warm, but was this one I put her nice heavy blanket over it and then comfortable not Not Thick, I should say, I am living in a camper van every morning I have four squeeze clamps almost like clothes pins but heavy duty and I put them all together two on top two on the bottom and I threw the sleeping bag over it and I don’t get all tangled up and it seems to make in the morning I know it sounds strange but those type metal clamps really help. It’s so funny. Sometimes I even go to the mattress you do what you gotta do to stay warm and it’s about 25° out and I am toasty when I get up in the morning I put the diesel heater on and I’m ready to get up and have coffee Five stars for these guys plus I love the colorful blanket all hippie at heart PS I used to be an Amazon seller for over six years. Did a road trip with my girlfriend who is always cold and tends to fall asleep while I drive. Bought this blanket as a surprise and she loved it. Not super hot as there is no temperature adjustment, but comfortable enough to make a difference. Her words were it's nice to use initially and unplug after awhile. I wanted one of these just for a little bit of warmth in my RV. The only warmth that comes out of this is the fact that it’s a blanket. I got this in the Green. It holds heat pretty well, even without being plugged in. It worked really great under my other blankets for a month and a half, then it stopped working. It shows red when plugged in, but does not draw power or heat up. I’ve returned it, and am trying a new one; 1 more time. Best $ I spent on Amazon. I detest the cold, and I have used this a lot so far this winter. It heats up fast. When i am driving, i put it over my legs (not so far as ro tangle my feet), and it helps keep me warm. I'll pull it up over my torso if I'm not in my heavy coat. If i am a passenger, I'm totally bundled. The carrier bag it is in was pretty cheap and didnt last long, so i need to find a way to keep it neat when not in use. But, i didn't realky buy it for the bag. I considered several blankets like this that were much more expensive, and i can't imagine that they would be any better for the extra $30. The only thing I noticed with this is that it doesn't shut off when the car shuts off. So, I am careful to pull the plug when I get out of the car. I don't know if it would run out the battery, but I don't want to fond out on a day that was cold enough to need the electric blanket. ... show more
