OK- I know there are a lot of reviews about this corset and I was really hesitant to purchase this because of the mixed reviews. I will attempt to give more information. I bought this because I wanted something to support my back and tuck in my love handles for some dresses I wanted to wear. I wanted something that didn't show too much under my clothing as well. I am 5'6 and weigh 225lbs and got the 4X. I am thick. After reading the reviews I went with a 4x and I have to wear this on the biggest clips but I think it fits me perfectly! I love the material on the outside, it's sort of like wetsuit material but not sticky. It makes everything nice and smooth. The inside material is really soft and comfy and I don't think it will be too hot. The bottom comes right down to the top of my underwear and right below my bra line which is perfect. Getting it on is a pain in the BUTT but I think that is pretty normal for all shapewear. Here is a hint for quickly putting it on. Start with the bottom latch and then work your way up one at a time. I usually pull it up to right under my ribcage to latch them and pull it down as I get higher up. works like a charm. Ok the first picture is a picture before I have the corset on and then with it on my tummy. then I have the corset on so you can see what it looks like under clothes as well as a pic of just me in the corset. It hides really nicely in the front but you can see the top of it under my dress in the back. It's not that big of a deal though and the dress is really tight so I doubt it would show on something loose. I hope this helps but feel free to message me if you have any other questions.

I’m 5’3, 135lbs and bought the large. (My waist might be 38”) I normally wear a medium/size 8-10 pants and a large in tops, I’m a 36-D. I have a self reducing hiatal hernia which that will pop out when coughing or bartending but I can push it back in- which leaves me feeling very sore & uncomfortable. (Also suffer from IBS and bloating.) It takes a day or two for me recover. I bought this hoping it would keep it in place and it does! 😃 I’ve been wearing it for two weeks now, when I bartend, 4-6 days a week and it has vastly improved the quality of my life. I wear it on the largest setting and it was a struggle at first to get it on. I don’t know if it has reduced my waist as I never took measurements but putting it on has gotten easier. Maybe it stretched, maybe I have become more skilled at putting it on. I find the eye hooks to be good quality and have absolutely no complaints. It’s a bonus that my figure is improved by it. Also I wear it just up to my bra and it doesn’t roll or add back fat or hip fat. Doesn’t roll at all and is incredibly flattering. Also improves my posture and makes me more conscious to suck in my gut and stand up straight. Both things are likely to improve my waistline. Buy it!

I used the size chart and, lo and behold, this fit as expected. I did not buy it for any other reason but to workout in it. And, I do and it makes me feel good about my posture and I lose a little water weight from the tummy area. Yet, when I wear it longer than for working out, it makes me irritable and causes slight nausea and heartburn, which I am prone to having anyway. And, when I take it off, yes, I look thinner, but only for about 5 minutes until the time when my stomach resumes it's natural state. Also, it's only really pushed in my stomach. It does not give me a discernible waist nor the hourglass look at all. Now that could be because I am "high-wasted" or just have more weight to lose. But, still, it just fit like a tube or band around the stomach. I do also wish it could be a bit longer. Even though I purchased this for workouts, I was of course curious and tried it under my clothes. It did make my jeans fit better, but it really did show through my clothes. As some other reviewer on here said, it's probably best to wear it in the winter when you can put a heavier sweater over it, if you're going to wear it everyday. Finally, like most shape-wear that I own, I felt that it made me look BIGGER when having it on. Yeah, I had no dreaded bumps and it smoothed me out, but it made me look "thicker" and just bigger in stature and bulk. Yet, this is just a personal thing that I have with shape-wear. Might not be the case for others. At this point, though, I'd rather have the fat rolls hang out and look all over thinner and not feel "bulky."
