At 1000-watt this heater will easily heat up your room but you will not have issues tripping your Breaker if you want to run other electronics. This heater is safe to touch, even on the grill, making a great choice for anyone. This unit has two power modes, one uses the full 1, 000-watt (red leaf), while the second mode (green leaf) uses only 500-watt. Each unit contains our patented heat Exchanger with HMS technology that allows maximum heat from the infrared quartz bulbs without any heat loss from the unit.

UPDATE: I purchased a second one of these so that I’d have supplemental heat is each bedroom. I live in the SE USA so I don’t need heating for most of the year. This newer unit has a bit more customization and I like the display upgrade. I’m going to add back that star I deducted from my original review. These little heaters do a great job. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Let me first start out by saying that I deducted one star from my review because it’s very obvious that I got a repackaged item and payed new item price for it. The product absent its used status rates 4 stars from me. I already have the larger 750w/1500w version of the Heat Storm. I’m very happy with it so I decided to add this smaller version to use in a bedroom. I like that this lower power unit darkens its display after a while. This means you don’t have any light shining from the heater while you’re trying to sleep. There is a drawback with this because the thermostat isn’t displayed nor is the power draw indicator. You have to go push the power button or one of the temperature control buttons to turn the display back on. I tossed the remote immediately and find no value in it. Someone else might like to have the remote. I just don’t care for it. As far as heating goes, it works just fine. Don’t expect this thing to heat a large room. Don’t expect it to maintain a huge temperature difference either. I haven’t tested yet, but in a small room I’d say this heater can maintain 5-10 degrees difference between the room and the rest of the house. Of course insulation, air flow between rooms, etc would all play a role in how well this heater will do. Overall I’m happy with the purchase. The heater is functional and has a low enough energy draw that my solar systems can power it without any trouble. Plus: It's compact. It has a high and low setting. It puts out a decent amount of heat for a powder room on either setting. Easy to mount on the wall. Easy to access and clean filters. Minus: On the noisy side compared to a vornado I bought several years ago. Thermostat doesn't work very well. Temperature is almost always inaccurate. Manual says it can be calibrated, but the process works poorly, if at all. You have to mess with it for a couple of days - use a thermometer for the room and periodically adjust the temperature until the room thermometer shows the temperature you want. Even at that, it won't work very well. Bottom Line: This works well as an on/off heater and it looks good ... show more

I should have just bought the conventional space heater but went with this one for the functionality. This is a combination of cheap computer parts thrown together to make a heater. It is extremely loud as well and over all absolute garbage. It doesnt read temperature very well as it turns on and within a minute turns back off reading a warmer temp when the small room is still cold. I got 1 space heater and the wifi wall heater in black Friday sale... didn't think much off it, was just as a backup in case my furnace went out (let me down twice last winter). I was so impressed with these guys, I promptly ordered 3 more wall heaters... than, when weather was in single digits a few weeks ago, I ran out of propane! Man, these heaters kept me warm. Old house, no insulation, single digits and 4 units kept my house between 65-74F. (1300sqft) These things are awesome. Highly recommend. Wallheaters are extremely easy to install. Took me longer to find the drill and where to hang them than to actually install. 4 screws, you're done. Template includes level, so so easy! ... show more
