Second best heater we've ever bought! This is our second Heat Storm infrared heater. We bought the larger one last winter (2024-25), to use in our ever chilly bathroom. Those floors are always cold. We'd tried many ceramic tower heaters. Although we love the safety features of those, they did nothing to warm up the bathroom floor, nor my husband's feet when he's seated at his computer desk. So, this Fall we decided to try this one, a bit smaller, in the bathroom so we could bring the larger one back out to warm Hub's feet. Excellent choice! They both work perfectly for what we need. These Heat Storm heaters are designed to blow hot air across the floors and they do it quite well! Our bodies are usually about 6' away from the heater and we can feel lots of warmth for our feet & legs. The remotes are tiny but they work well and you can set your preferred temp & forget it. They're easy to forget too, partly because they're so very quiet! As far as efficiency, they don't raise our electric bill any more than any other heater. In fact I believe they're a bit less expensive to use. If we ever need another electric heater, it'll be another Heat Storm of this design! ... show more

I absolutely love this. I love how it helps heat floor up wh n on its legs. I got tired of other heaters heating the middle to ceiling and floor cold. This one does the trick. Convenient to move anywhere or mount plus doesn't make a power surge wh n I kicks on. Heat is wonderful and comfy

Setup was a bit awkward, using wing nuts to attach the flimsy feet. The unit is lightweight and easy to move, but performance is disappointing. When set to 65°F and my room is already at 70°F, the heater cycles on and off several times per minute, blowing only cold air with its loud fan. When the temperature finally drops to 65°F, it does produce good heat. However, the constant cycling and cold-air bursts will likely increase my power bill unnecessarily. Because of this, the Heat Storm just isn’t for me — it’s going back. I almost returned it immediately upon opening the box, since everything was wrapped in assorted plastic and bags, giving the impression it had already been returned once. I needed something for our small window porch area and I’ve used a lot of heaters over the years. I also didn’t want a unit that used more than 600 watts. This unit so far seems to work great. It’s also very small so it fits perfectly where I need it. I’m not a big fan of the electronic control , I would prefer standard knob’s but the touch control seems to work fine and it comes with a remote which is convenient. I must say I’m very impressed with the performance of this heater. It takes the chill out of the room just fine. Not much more to say but for the price it’s worth it. As electric heaters go this is a real decent heater. Nice even heat. Fan is not too loud. Heat exits near floor, which I like as I feel it on my feet. I did not wall mount it. I bought the model that included floor stands. It has a nice coats wrap on the back to manage the cord. Makes is so the cord can be set to any length needed. Best part is this is only I think 1100 watts max. So the plug never gets hot on my old wiring. And the housing all around stays nice and cool. So I feel safer no fire risk. I didn’t notice much change in my elelctric bill over using the oil filled heater I had been using. Maybe it’s a little less since this heats up room in 20 min where pop filled used to take an hour to heat it up to be comfortable. Heater gets used 2-3 hours a day. I have it installed in small 8 x 10 office room that has 2 outside windows. There is no heat in that room. Gets down to around 50. This Heats it up to 72 in about 20 minutes. Then the heater cycles between high and low as needed. Overall I really like it. Like the remote control as well. ... show more
