Small profile, easy to install, directional up down for the heater and a small directional plate in the front of the heating output. I have a 400 sq.ft garage, where I do woodworking but in the cold of Chicago Winters, there were days I just could not work in the garage, tried Propane heater, but had to leave the garage door open a bit and the back door to draft out the gas fumes, so did not work very well and expensive! So I bought this electric unit. So I tried another electric heater (off amazon), but their website was inaccurate and said the 7500 Watt unit took a 30 amp fuse, (which would require 10 gauge wire), and when I got it, it required 50 Amp and 8 gauge. So I looked at all the other options and found this heater, it was 6000 Watts, 25 amp switch, could get to all the manual (installation) to verify requirements and how to install, and worked out great. I installed a double pole 30 amp fuse, 10 gauge wire plus ground in conduit from the fuse box to the garage, and final connection with flexible conduit to hook it up to the heater for easy installation. Works great, on really cold days, does take some a few hours to heat up my garage (exterior garage not insulated ) to a workable temperature, but had a remote control as well as an external thermometer (included) and a web app to help you control the unit (turn on off and use timer to turn off when if you forget). You will need Wi-fi to connect the heater web site and external thermometer to work, my wi-fi does not reach the garage, but I can still set the timer and use the external thermometer to manage the on/off/heat temperature. Only down size is the heat blow out straight out of the unit, and from the picture I posted you kinda see I mounted it in the middle of my garage near the back wall. I have 3 ceiling fans in the garage (for winter and summer use), so these help to distribute the heat all around the garage rather than just in the middle. You may want to consider some kind of additional way to move the heat around your shop. Overall, very happy with the results, size, heat and features. Would recommend it! ... show more

Excellent product very easily wired and installed my shop is 700 square ft and it heats it very well. The outside temp was about -3 with out windchill it keep my shop at a steady 60° with out any issues

I found this originally on YouTube when trying to find a heater for my garage. After watching a couple videos and reading the reviews, I can say that I am blown away by the quality of this unit. It was a fair price, it’s durable, and the ability to set the temperature is nice. I always have it set at 68 to 69 and it keeps my garage warm. It doesn’t use a lot of power and it’s quiet. I wall mounted this unit in my 2 car attached garage - 20' x 20' x 8'. The garage is fully finished with drywall (walls and ceiling) and well insulated with R13. Garage door is medium insulated Clopay type (16' x 7') with 4 windows. I'm in Michigan currently with outside temp of mid 30's F (Jan, 2021). I located the heater in a corner of the garage closer to the entry point of the house and about 2 feet off the ceiling. Positioning decision was mainly for aesthetic and electrical access. The heater delivers a solid flow of heat for a relatively small frame and can quickly make a significant temperature dent in close proximity to the source. The fan is decent, but not strong enough to truly circulate the air around the room or push it to ground level to raise the ambient temp as the heat rises. After two hours of mostly continuous operation on high, the ceiling area temperature directly across the room from the source (roughly 19') was at 75 degrees. However, the floor temperate (depending on varying locations) was in the lower 60's. With enough time of continuous operation, this heater, left completely on its own, can make the garage downright balmy in some areas, while still a bit chilly in others. A couple of challenge. One - there's no way to change direction of the air flow from the source and Two - the heater doesn't work like a space heater with an on/off low or high continuous operation mode. It's turns on and off based on the internal thermostat like a standard central heating system. The max temp that can be set on the thermostat is 99 degrees and its surprising how quickly the temperature near the source can escalate to that level. That means that while the temp can be toasty warm at the ceiling level, its chilly around the floor and of course the farther you are from the unit. Since the heater will regularly turn itself off until the local temp cools its almost impossible to get a balanced heat throughout the garage if left to its own fan. So - adding a ceiling fan to move the air around evenly would make a significant difference. That's not really an option for me in my relatively small space, so I'm going to use a small directional fan aimed directly at the heater to push the air away from the thermostat and let it function for a bit longer than it might on its own. It's a great little heater that can make a huge difference in small space - just consider some additional air flow support and it can be a real workhorse for larger areas as well. ... show more

This heater is amazing! It heats as advertised. It turned my freezing garage into a comfortable hangout room. The app is very easy to set up and use, and once your connected to the app you Preheat your space with ease. The remote is handy and does have a low power magnet on the back of it that can be placed on the door of a garage fridge or freezer. My only complaint with this product would be..... it DOES NOT come with a power cord and everything on the product states that a 4 prong cord is required to hookup the heater but when the heater arrived only a 3 cord was required. I recommend that you pay an electrician to hookup this heater if you don't know what you're doing. Otherwise great product. ... show more

Hung and wired up easy. Works great. Have on auto and double car garage is 49 degrees in the morning when it was -6 outside. Use propane to heat to get to 65 degrees quick and then set Heat Storm to 65 and it keeps heat constant. Used seperate thermostat to keep heat at bench where I want.
