I purchased this chair for my husband and decided to keep it for myself. Love that it is not too big and fits perfect in my bathtub. It took my brother about 45 minutes to put together. I recommend you read the directions and separate all your parts before you get started putting it together. The only reason I gave it a four rating is because not sure if it will hold 500 pounds but, it is great sturdy, comfortable and durable. We are not Heavy-set individuals so not sure how sturdy it would be for someone 500, maybe it does hold the 500 pounds. Also, my granddaughter started using it when she shaves her legs so do I. I was a bit leery when I read some of the reviews but, I am glad that I purchased because I am very satisfied with this product. I truly would recommend. ... show more

This would have received five stars if not for the seat size. It needs to be larger. Sitting involves more the coverage for buttocks. It’s a chair requiring some thigh support too. Would this support a 500 pound person? I cannot fathom them being able to sit on this seat. I’m half that weight and I had to sit down mindfully because the seat for me it’s not big enough for me to feel secure that it won’t topple backwards if I just sit on it without caution. I felt comfortable once I was seated on the seat. 200-225 is probably be ideal for this chair. At 250 it worked yet I was mindful of my movements. If the seat were bigger, that need would be eliminated. It fits into a small tub and that’s a huge plus. In my opinion it’s worthy of five stars, for those that find the seat a comfortable fit. ... show more

    • Very sturdy and fits perfectly in a claw foot tub!
This is a great shower chair! There were a few issues with getting it together when it came... like one of the sizing buttons came stuck inside and I had to be creative to work it up to where it popped out of the hole it was supposed to be sticking out of with a chopstick.... and one of the wing nuts would only fit on ONE of the screws which was really frustrating, getting the silver washers to stay in place on the legs while putting it together was also a bit challanging... but turn on some tunes.. be prepared for a puzzle and know it's worth it 🙂 If you are lucky everything will be easier than mine was.... I had it together in about 45min. Definitely worth the time effort and money. Highly reccomend ... show more

Product is good, but customer service is not. Contacted them with a request to buy a part that broke and, despite their comment that I would be contacted within 24 hours, NOTHING. Probably can blame it on another pandemic!

    • Compact Shower Chair w/Grab Bar
The shower chair worked out fine since our shower is a smaller size. The grab bar is junk. Will not stick to the shower wall. I tried cleaning the shower wall and the suction cups on the bar but it still will not stay on the wall. The seller replaced the grab bar and it works great. Just make sure that the shower wall is clean before installing the grab bar. Kudos to the seller for making it right. ... show more
